Hooray! Fingers crossed this thread heralds the full-time return of Daveth's red oni.

I'd like you to explain that. Start from the beginning, leave nothing out."

I almost had them both return in that post, but there wasn't that much to work on there. I'll hopefully wait until I know more, then start really chewing the furniture. As you say, been a while. Aside from the Wildfire plot, there hasn't been much internal angst from Daveth this time.

Need to bring back Dyana Marsten for proper angst.
Will email her player £500 in Amazon Vouchers and lift the bidding from there...

I have sent her messages several times, with increasing levels of begging, but have had no response.

Oh totally. But she came back for a bit, then vanished again. I just miss her, is all.

I didn't know that, explains a lot as we started in spring/summer.
The kind of high quality player who'll be welcomed back with open arms as their schedule allows.
A message goes out to all registered players when new stories/offseason starts, as you'll all have seen before, plus wrap-ups on the green ronin boards. May also post a wrap-up to the other forums I originally recruited on and another offer to join to refill some depleted houses, favouring Tullison (it's my old house and was very popular in both Southron Ambitions and Blood in the Water, normally has player appeal unlike the consistently unpopular Kytley).

I was originally looking at Kytley, but was quickly talked over elsewhere because I'd have been the only one.

What could have been! Glad we didn't miss out on the Corrine/Benedict love match and scandal. Corrine's suitors was a good story on its own, but it was only the beginning.
It takes a player of the Septon's/Nathaniel's quality to work diligently without the fun and support of comrades in the OOC forum, as both have borne at times. Glad to see both with company at the moment. Theomore is in a similar boat temporarily, having previously enjoyed a wide range of companions.
Like I say, reminder email to old players to come and further recruitment to follow.

A quick IC question from me via Sofia before handing her back over to Kevan to pilot and do meet and greet with other players.

I'd be more worried about her baby daddy.

Baelon is a married man and struggling very hard against his baser instincts to stay true to Gwyn.
Though I do still have +1D from charming her previously...

It would be a shame to let that 1D go to waste and it would work in a subsequent Seduction, not just Charm. Just sayin'.
Then I can have three different parties face off in a trial by Seven for Sofia! A first of its kind spectacular spectacular.
Perhaps the poor woman has been through enough.

A minor note for tone:
Yoren's father Ferris Longshore is "
Lord Longshore"
.
Yoren would generally be "
Lord Yoren"
if you're being polite.

Not about to turn this into a tedious etiquette test, but this stuff helps set the game's tone (and deliver insults when you want to!).

Ser Walton Dulver wrote:Ser Walton Dulver and Ser Garred Mountfort were directed to the garden, where Yoren was awaiting. Both Dulvers seemed pretty much used by previous days with their dusty armours and covered in mud high riding shoes. Also their faces were marked with furrows. Garred's face was hidden under his usual beard, but Walton's thick stubble was evidence of last few busy days. Ser Walton nodded in greeting
"
Lord Longshore."
But Ser Garred, who was more direct and less used to good manners and titles, smiled widely.
"
Yoren."
Heir of Dulvers didn't pay attention to loose behaviour of his guard's captain, so he just added
"
You wanted to see me, Longshore?"

Re: Game Discussion
well, Yoren introduced himself as 'Lord' to my guys, so I go that way. And Garred is simple man, please excuse him lack of good manners- he is useful where he is useful and let's don't get any further :;
): he is favourite pet of young heir...
I was browsing old combat threads and Baelon's fight against Ser Jon Rivers got my attention
viewtopic.php?f=191&
t=1961
Well, Baelon's tactics: knockdown+smash weapon+attack the guy seems like something what can let poor fighter defeat best fighters, am I right? Knockdown seems like over-used tactics- that's one, but smashing weapon is another thing- isn't it also something what can eliminate opponent's weapon very easily?
Could anyone please put some light on that for me? I'm inexperienced player and some combat actions seems little ridiculous for me, from logical point of view...

Don't be patronising. I know the setting. My point is Walton is so unbelievably wrong, and if he wants a demonstration of a woman pushing around with the men, she'll be quite happy to put a few arrows through his thick head.
The disrespect she's getting, as head of her House, from supposedly civilised individuals, is fucking disgraceful, even for the setting.

Re: Game Discussion
I admire Walton's commitment to making enemies among PCs and NPCs, at least it gets you involved in the game. Not sure you can bang on about being a proper knight and then champion a renowned bastard kinslayer who interfered with a royal investigation, but I'm not here to tell people how to play their PCs, just to let them know how the world will react.
The issue with forms of address applies to everyone (thing Yoren makes a slip in the same thread) and "
lord"
is fine for nobles.
However, "
Lord Stark/Lannister/Tullison"
should be reserved for only the head of that family.
It's not the "
Lord"
part that's the problem. "
Lord Walton"
, "
Lord Yoren"
and so on is fine. "
My lord"
is fine. "
Lord Longshore"
for Yoren is not appropriate. Lord Longshore is his father.
