Perhaps, Lord Longshore is dead dun dun duunnnn!! Making Yoren the new Lord Longshore. Back to reality Reader is right.
Edit: Defeat can mean those things are not true as such things can be determined in a trial by combat.

Well, it's not that Walton is committed to make enemies! It just happens... for example Ser Eoric- as much as Walton wanted to befriend him, he now regrets that he didn't put more power into his attack ;
( and believe me, he could!

I don't want to force things to turn out in nicest/best way. I rather like to think about what happens here, like living world. And in that situation, not outcome is most important, but to keep everything logical and fitting.
What is smashing weapon TN for swords? and how much dmg is needed to destroy one?

Let's be 100% clear: Athelstan's guilt for kinslaying was already demonstrated by trial by combat and he confessed to his interference with the royal investigation before his death. He died with the reputation his deeds had earned: a bastard kin-slayer who interfered with a royal investigation. None of that is on trial.
Baelon's interference would be on trial, not Athelstan's crime.
People may have other motives for standing against Baelon if it comes to trial by combat, but everything I said in the thread below with regard to NPC reactions remains true.

Re: Game Discussion
Athelstan was already guilty of kin-slaying and interfering.
Yes, we are talking about Baelon's doings, not Athelstan as far as I knew.
That it was intentional or something of such sort.
Edit:
As Theomore added on that post which is what I think is happening now:
1. Baelon unilaterally acted to push a prominent member of House Longshore into a corner, leading to his death. (even if it's suicide)
2. Baelon threatened to kill him if he did not confess to his crimes, whatever they might be.
No matter how despicable Athelstan was, the following applies: (This is the more applicable part)
1. House Longshore has been gravely insulted and provoked, wars have been started over less.
2. Corollary to the above, Ferris may not have liked Athelstan much, but he will appear weak if the Longshores does not retaliate.
3. There is considerable ambiguity concerning whether or not Baelon had the authority to do as he did. Arrest? Sure. Act as judge, jury and executioner? No.

Walton, I recommend reading back the thread involving Ser Eoric and seeing if you come across as someone heroic who wants to make friends or a dangerous nutcase. You're more Smiling Knight than Arthur Dayne, as long as you're clear on that.

More "
Train like an arsehole"
.
- You engage the heir to Riverrun in a sparring match
- You use a Vicious weapon
- Afterwards, while shaking hands you yank him hard towards you with your hulking strength [to the extent of beating his passive athletics (strength) with an athletics (strength roll to do so], pull his face right up to yours and give him a mocking smile and a clearly sarcastic "
Get well, Ser"
.
He was generally pretty polite to you in the thread, despite the political divide between your houses, the gap in status and your provocations.
You're free to be horrible to NPCs, but be clear on how they'll see it and how your PC comes across.

The laughing storm has a bit more style and flair (or will have, if/when he's born in this timeline).
Booming laughter and tossing expensive crests in to the crowd irritates nobles but at least it looks cool and wins the love of the smallfolk. He's a showman, not a thuggish bully who thinks he's a paragon of knightly virtue.
Plus the Laughing Storm has better hair than most of the PCs (including the women). :;

Yeah, because Athelstan and Aemond are totally stable individuals, whom we should emulate.

Never said you should or that he did the right thing, just who thinks it was good. Lord Ereth would not like it, but remain indifferent.

I think it's safe to assume that, if Aemond or Theomore like a thing, it's probably evil.

If you're following Ser Jorah's recent threads they can be read as foreshadowing future villains for Ser Jorah the Just to cast down.
Westeros is rarely so kind however.

Re: Game Discussion
and just to point out on status having seen the septon arlyn raise the numbers, it looks more like this
status 6 - major house
status 7 - member of small council, paramount house
Status 8- warden of north/east/west/south or kings hand?
status 9 - member of the royal family
status 10 - king

Being "
nice"
or romantic keeps getting Marsten nailed with influence hits (wedding, saving the clansmen non-combatants) but you don't see them complaining. Ironically the "
nice"
characters have tougher players than those playing hard men and schemers.
It doesn't pay to be a heel generally in times of peace, unless you're very cunning. Lots of people misread Machiavelli as being all about the cackling evil and scheming. It isn't. Being loved and popular is good and helpful, generally.
Smart heels have done reasonably well - Ser Theomore is having his difficulties but has also had a lot of successes, winning the pageant in story 1 and is close to some long term schemes coming to fruition. He has lied, cheated and manipulated his way to success and the game is all the better for it.
We're pre civil war - this is a period of peace, and people who do wicked things without political protection will get punished. People need to build bonds, loyalties and friendships now for it to be meaningful when these loyalties are tested by the civil war and for their to be proper tragedy when the war starts in c129. Otherwise I'd just have started the game in 129, but then the gains and losses would have meant far less.
if you don't like the game's tone or aren't able to understand how things will shift as we approach the war, don't play.

Re: Game Discussion
True we are at times of peace and its hard to be a heel, but that is my point its peace period, dont pay to be heel much, so Im nice guy now.
Edit: Ser Walton is on the darkside too lol.
During war, heel side will come out!
