Gwyn laughs at that and bumps Corrine's shoulder with her own.

"
You just saw it not long ago,"
she chides her cousin teasingly. "
Just before Dunstan quit the field to come join us here."
She grins at Dunstan. "
I did indeed choose well."

"
Of course! My mind is such a jumble today! My apologies."

She felt foolish for not knowing, but she had been rather pre-occupied.

"
Are you taking part in more events, my lord?"

Dunstan blushes a bit, his face turning from the white of a physically tired man to light pink of a slightly embarrassed boy.

Hearing Corrine's question he says, "
Yes, I will try to sing. My voice is not great but I guess - with the right song.."
he spots a boy carrying a bucket of fruits, selling it to the audience.

"
Hey, over here!"
he shouts, "
some apples please"
he takes some and bites on it, offering the ladies too.

"
Are you?"

Corrine accepts an apple with a grateful smile.

"
Thank you. Yes, I will be singing too. I look forward to observing your performance. Of course, I am not suited to the contact sports."

She giggles a little at the notion.

"
Do you have a particular song in mind?"

One thing is for certain, Dunstan loves apples. He bites so deep into it and swallows a large chunk, so large it makes him cough a bit. When all is well once again, he says

"
Don't know yet. My favourite is not very suitable to the royal crowd. Maybe The Wrecker and the Bridge? I am fond of it and it sings of a great victory of Prince Daemon and Lord Velaryon's army, with Ser Jon as a hero no less!"

OOC: Dunstan doesn't end up with that song but I guess the knowledge roll at the start of the singing thread was to see and remmember the proper song - so it is only than he decided.

"
I'm sure the Prince would like that. If my mother is watching, she will undoubtedly enjoy that one too. She thinks ever so highly of Wrecker Jon."

She smiles wryly.

"
I'm thinking of singing either The Magpie's Nest, Touch The Sky, or Farewell Sorrow. I do like singing a great deal, so it is difficult to choose. I will likely decide only moments before I speak to the band,"
she laughs.

Gwyn swats Dunstan's back when he coughs and takes a bite of her own apple as well. She has to cover her mouth when she laughs at Corrine's statement.

"
So old Jon Cobb is charming Isobel?"
she asks, amused and surprised. "
Well good on him. I had my doubts, but maybe his technique works better on someone from his own era."

Corrine shares the laugh.

"
I think she is quite taken with him. She went bright red when I mentioned it."

She left out the fact that the redness had been at least partly from fury.

"
It might work in my favour, to be honest. Perhaps if he melts that icy heart of hers, she might be more accommodating about my future."
