[D4, EA, Joust R1]Ser Theomore Tullison v Lord Smallwood
The crowd would be familiar with Ser Theomore in his shining plate, black destrier and winning smile as he takes a round in front of the stands before saluting Lord Tully and donning his helm.

Lord Dougal Smallwood had enjoyed a moderate career as a jouster, but was nonetheless popular with the crowd for his shock of bushy black hair and wild beard.

Re: [D4, EA, Joust R1]Ser Theomore Tullison v Lord Smallwood
As befits his aura of confidence, Theomore stands high in the saddle as the two riders clash. In this moment of clarity, it is as if time slows down for, Theomore, he sees where Lord Dougal's lance will hit and adjusts his shield to deflect much of the impact into the air, his own lance hits Lord Dougal cleanly in the chest. Theomore can sense more than see that the man falls off the horse, turning around, he sees Lord Dougal writhing in pain holding his shoulder, attendants and maester storming to the scene. Carried out on a gurney, the maester assures Theomore that it looks the lord has not taken any other injuries than an unfortunate landing.

Result: 27 damage, 18 past AR, another 9 as he hits the ground. It's a TN15 roll to stay in saddle which he cannot possibly make. Since I assume he doesn't have destiny points...that's a foregone conclusion. I think it's fair to say that he's defeated, like defeated defeated. It's too early in the joust to be killing lords, so I'll settle for a maim, -1 Fighting and a permanent shoulder pain.

The crowd winces at the sickening blow.
Lord Smallwood swears loudly at the pain, but his ire seems directed at himself and the blameless Maesters, rather than Ser Theomore.
Few will want to face Ser Themore in the coming rounds after such a strong opening.
