Ben lines up again. His visor still down. Its obstruction of his face pleases him. As it would not do to be seen smiling in the list.

Strange fates indeed, that see Ser Benedict matched against a Bracken, particularly one of Ser Wyll's quality. If the Brackens had one hundred men of Ser Wyll's quality, they could wipe the Blackwoods from Westeros.

Ser Wyll salutes his opponent before beginning the charge. This was the next best thing to facing a Blackwood.

Ben knew there was more to this tilt than his own pride. He rode as before. This time his hit was not as telling. Wyll's landed firmly, but Ben held on easily.

Feeling he was slightly behind and needing to pick up the pace, Ben aims to strike hard. This takes away a bit of his defensiveness.
(OOC: Will edit after Readers rolls.)

[OOC: Winner chooses consequences - Ben, you'll just need to take an injury, which isn't nearly enough to force your stay in saddle roll to a failure]

Ben's fuels his strike with the image of those lost, in his command, to the Brackens. At the moment of impact he lets out a guttural scream. His Lances crashing against Wyll's shield splintering and continuing towards his forward facing helm. Ben takes Wyll's blow solidly and rocks with it hanging on to Rose. He winces as he steers Rose around to see the result of his fury.

The attendants rushed to the Bracken on the ground. Attempts to remove his helm were failed. It was too badly smashed. They instead left it on as they removed him on a litter.

ooc: Take injury. Maimed: Broken Jaw - no singing for him.

Another blow in the long running unpleasantness between Blackwoods and Brackens. Ser Benedict's mother's family would be proud.

[OOC: /scene, good to see the family rivalry continuing. It'll all end in tears/duels/war]

Corrine winced as the two riders clashed with a sickening crunch. Ben seemed better off, but she looked at him with concern when she saw he was also injured. She applauded his success, but felt useless.
