[Day 4: Joust, Round 2] Ser Fendrel v Ser Symon Erenford
Ser Fendrel prepares himself for the next round of the joust. He swore to ride more carefully this time, not wanting to repeat his previous mistake.

Re: [Day 4: Joust, Round 2] Ser Fendrel v Lord Fossoway
The Fossoways breed fine horses, and have a recent tradition of fine men to ride them. The red apple of Lord Owen Fossoway and his son were both unblemished in the first round of tilting, and both men have good reason to be confident of further progress.
He rides a glorious white charger, finer than any you have seen in the tourney so far.
Passive Ride: 16
Health: 12/12
AR: 10
Action: Never happens
However, at the last moment Ser Manfryd Vance clarifies a mix-up, and Ser Symon Erenford is summoned to the lists. A stroke of good fortune, for the golden heron emblazoned knight is a far more modest opponent.
Passive Ride: 9
Health: 9/9
AR: 8
Action: [url=High in the saddle +2][/url]: 6d6k3+2 15
Result: 1 DoS = 7 damage, TN 9 to stay mounted

Re: [Day 4: Joust, Round 2] Ser Fendrel v Lord Fossoway
After being unhorsed in the previous round by a much less experienced knight, Ser Fendrel favours a much more conservative approach and even when his opponent's lance strikes him, he manages to stay in the saddle. His own attack, however, is quite devastating as his opponent cannot possibly withstand such force and falls to the ground.

Action: [url=Jousting][/url]: 7d6k5-2 22
Result: 22-9=13. 3 DoS. Animal Handling TN 15 required.
Damage: (Animal Handling 3+3+2)=8x3=24-8=16.
[OOC: Reader here, result = 19 due to Charge's -1D penalty, as discussed via PM. Happily, still = 3 DoS ]

The heron shield is cracked clean in two by Ser Fendrel's fierce blow, and Ser Symon falls from his mount...

Re: [Day 4: Joust, Round 2] Ser Fendrel v Ser Symon Erenford
Ser Symon falls from his mount, knocked unconsciouss. Ser Fendrel is victorious once again, but seeing that his opponent's fallen and could be gravely injured, he gets off his horse and checks the young man's state.
[OOC: Consequence: is unconsciouss + broken arm acceptable?]

Re: [Day 4: Joust, Round 2] Ser Fendrel v Ser Symon Erenford
The maester assure Ser Fendrel that Symon will live, but that it will be some time before he jousts again, a chastened man. The defeated knight is borne away on a litter, in what is an increasingly bloody tourney...
[OOC: /scene, that outcome is acceptable to everyone but Ser Symon, and he doesn't have a vote. At least Ser Fendrel went to check on him]
