Corrine awaits Dunstan outside the Great Hall, as arranged, fidgeting absent-mindedly with her garnet pendant.

I hope Lord Tully is in a good mood. I've been very open about my politics. Would he refuse because of that? I hope not. Just be as charming as you can. remember to breathe.

As Dunstan approaches, she offers him a toght but welcoming smile.

Lord Gorman Tully sat beside Lady Alysane Tully, starting down at their supplicants.

Guardsmen in Tully livery announced Lady Corrine and Lord Tullison, and Lord Tully brusquely gestured for them to speak while Lady Tully scrutinised the young nobles carefully.

Corrine curtsied, her head bowed respectfully;

I became betrothed to Ser Benedict Blackthorne yesterday, and in the discussions of a possible venue for the wedding ceremony, Lord Tullison suggested that Riverrun would be ideal, as it has both a Sept and a Godswood. I also believe it would be most auspicious to have a ceremony during this wonderful tourney you have held, which brought my intended &

lady, may we have your blessing to arrange this wedding in your magnificent castle? You would receive appropriate respects and tributes, of course."


She gives them her most charming smile, attempting to convey great respect with just the right degree of submission.

Dunstan bowed to show respect and stood next to Corrine, clad in his finest garment of course.

he says with a smile, "
It would do us great honor if the union of my cousin Ser Benedict and Lady Corrine is to be performed right here in your Halls."

tributes. Just the right words for the occasion, delivered in just the right manner. Despite his immediate financial concerns having eased, it takes a great deal to change the nature of a man.

We are pleased that you honour us by seeking our blessing, as I am sure your feudal Lord in House Arryn will be when you make similar requests of them. My seneschal Hubert shall see to the particulars."

Hubert had seemed skittish about something lately, but perhaps the task would focus his mind?

Dunstan's eyes widen in shock as he reveals the price. Under these conditions, helding a wedding here was unacceptable to the young Lord.

If it pleases my Lord, we were looking for a rather intimate ceremony"
he said, but what he meant was cheaper, "
With yours and Lord Arryn's permission of course. I know another big affair after such a glorious Tourney can be strenuous to you, and we do not want to take advantage of your hospitality. A simple ceremony in the godswood and the septry with only the family and close friends, without jousting and other competitions, would suffice."


Words were directed equally to the Lord and his senechal.

Dunstan's words were music to Lord Tully's ears.

Quite so, such extravagance will not do after a hard winter. In the graceful lady's own words, the 'appropriate respects and tributes' shall be used to pay for the further hospitality, a modest feast and sacrifices to the gods."

Smaller festivities = more gold for Lord Tully - no tourney, so no need for prizes etc that add to the cost, but fee still being based off book's cost for a small tourney ex prizes. Corrine curtsied deeply, and readied to leave Lord &
Lady Tully in peace, and to speak with the Seneschal.

Seneschal Hubert nervously dry washes his hands as he awaits Lady Corrine's instructions, seemingly nervous of the unexpected expense so soon after the tourney.

Nonetheless, he seems attentive and accommodating to the bride-to-be's desires.

Corrine simply makes suggestions as to the precise wirding of the missive to the Eyrie, carefully ensuring that it is specified that Ser Benedict would be entering House Marsten as Lord Protector. She also goes over the financial matters, of half coming from House Marsten, half from Tullison, and the nature of Ben's House change obviating the need for a dowry. She informs him of the need for the use if both the Sept and the Godswood, and other small operational matters. She encourages him to contact her immediately if further questions arise.

Hubert has seen enough over the last few days not to raise an eyebrow, despite the unorthodox message to House Arryn and strange requests. And from a Marsten of all people!
