Huzzah! Welcome back. You haven't really missed much in the way of game-time, just lots of gossiping, wooing, and a couple of job offers....Kevan Lyras wrote:Folks!
Ser Kevan is back again! Will probably need some time to read up on the latest developments, but I am available again. :;

I have arrived. The Colorado mountains are just spoopy at night, when you're weaving between them and taking sharp turns going up them. Seeing them in daytime will be a nice change.

Re: AFK thread
Athelstan is gone for 2 or 3 days, he got an increase in his medication and he is getting sleep studies, I don't know if he can continue to play in all do honesty do to his conditions, half the day he is in a daze and I'm taking over most of his other pbp games he is involved, or out right dropping them, since I do have work other than helping him.
He is now also now taking anger management as part of his adjustment to civilian life and mostly because he wants to do it after a certain incident he recently just had. No he had no problems, he caught himself on time this time.
Thank you.

Very sorry to hear your brother is having such a rough time! My sympathies to him, you and your family - hope he makes a full recovery, even if it takes time to get there.

I'm sorry to hear you're both struggling, but you both must take care of yourselves first. I hope he makes a full recovery.

Re: AFK thread
Indeed. I've known people have had major back surgery, and people who have gone through difficult transitions returning from war... both are tough. Going through them at the same time is rough.
I hope both go well for him.

Re: AFK thread
On Wednesday (July 1st) I'll be at a funeral from late morning. Depending on my mood when I get back, I may not post anything for the rest of the day.

I second Yoren's feelings, Jon. I know every inch of how hard that situation can be.
I only hope that whoever has departed is someone you can cope without.

Re: AFK thread
Thank you everyone for all the sympathy! The funeral is for my uncle - he was old and had been very ill for a long time, so his passing isn't such a terrible thing, but I know from experience that funerals tend to be emotional roller coasters, so I'm playing it safe concerning my participation here when it's done.

Re: AFK thread
Oof...sorry for your loss! Even if he wasn't someone close to you I think you're right about funerals. Lots of people were close, and they'll be suffering. And that can spread to you.
Anyway, take it easy. We're all just mucking about with the melee for now, so no presh.

Re: AFK thread
Funerals are emotional roller coasters indeed. I've cried at a ceremony held after someone I didn't even really know very well, out of sympathy for their relatives alone. That suffering spreads, and I'm not someone to cry easily.
In fact, I think I've cried less for people in my own family (like my grandparents) dying than in that situation, maybe because I couldn't attend their funerals and merely grieved at home.

No, Yoren, that is completely unacceptable.
Seriously, no worries. RL over game life, especially in matters of health (mental , physical, or social).

More of a general AFK, I am now looking out across the mediterrean, and will stay here for most of the month, so my capacity for posting in July will be rather limited.

Being a bit repetitive, perhaps, and I apologize for keeping people waiting on me, but my life's a bit on turmoil now, and I have scant time or motivation to post as it is. I hope this will not last.
