Re: AFK thread
Hi Dyana!
I'm really sorry that things have been rough. I completely understand how that is. But I'm glad you're ok, and that you reached out to us again. We missed you. Dyana the character has, as Gwyneth said, been in a quantum state, awaiting your return, so there is absolutely a place for you here. It is good timing, since Story 2 is wrapping up. I'm sure that, between us, we can precis the relevant information for you.
It's good to see you. I hope things are getting better for you. Remember that we want to help &
support you if we can.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had such a rough time.Dyana Marsten wrote:I don't know what has happened around here, and I'd lie if I said I'll carefully read it all, for it's probably a lot. I don't know if there's any space for me still, and it's ok if there isn't. I mostly wanted to say hi. So, hi!
As for there being space for you - yes, I am sure there is.

Dyana!
We are about to wrap up story 2 so the timing is quite good. Also, I think your enemy died in a fire :-)
(Now for Daveth, he is turning his eyes somewhere else but nothing is fixed yet)

Re: AFK thread
Dyana - high quality players are always welcome back and you certainly qualify. The posts from other pcs is a testament to how you were (and are!) regarded.
On phone, so brief(ish).
I am sorry you have had such a difficult time. Well do on hanging tough with medical school, but on all of it try to do what is right for you. Even posting can be tough if you feel you're "
behind"
and it becomes another chore to put off (but weighs on you) rather than something fun. Best wishes all the way from Edinburgh - stay strong, but sometimes (like posting to rpg message boards) it is better to bend than break. Sure the dragonstone maester gives a speech on the baratheon sons and contrasts stannis's brittle iron to Robert's flexible steel.
An official event and poor rolls from other pcs killed off the man who challenged you to a duel, but beyond that story 2 is over so an ideal time to get on board. The almanac has links to the official events incase you want to backfil them, but this can be done at your leisure or ignored.
Welcome back, and be as involved/quiet as you feel able.
Always here if you need to drop me a pm.

Welcome back Dyana
If you wanted to, there is a thread going like the inn threads that Lord Tullison kept doing in story 1 if you wanted to dive back in and meet people without having to get involved with any events.

Mainly setting up back-end stuff for offseason tonight. Will hit some IC posts tomorrow morning, going to work a little later than normal due to (routine) medical appointment.

Thanks everyone, for all the kind words, encouragements and welcomes. That is precisely the reason I returned in the first place - you people! I'll be reading what I can through the next few days, hit up Reader on points I need to, that sort of jist. I'm in the process of starting a new job right now (got my approval via e-mail today - pays from 5 to 10 times as much as the last one, so not complaining), so I'm not all that full of time, but expect more word from me soon.

Congrats on new job. Story 2 summary will probably be up in the next few days too.

Get well soon.
I've recovered from my XCOM 2 binge and will grind through my backlog and try to get offseason stuff moving.
Hope others are enjoying it too.

There was this guy that did that with Dwarf Fortress years back in some other game I was in.

Hehehe. That's a fairly cool idea.
Gwyn should be one of the Scientists though. Then she'll totally survive as long as you keep those pesky UFO hunters away.

Boatmurdered is awesome.
A bunch of my friends &
I did a Dwarf Fortress round robin, each of us taking a year to 'rule', then passing on the save file. It was carnage. We wrote up our progress too.
"
Damn! The dwarf called Matthew is dead, by zombie macaque.
Oh! A new dwarf has arrived!
Dwarf 78, you are now called Matthew.
All is well."
