Ser Jaime supports his wounded father on to his steed as they return to Mallister lines, the eagle limping home rather than soaring back to Seagard in triumph.

Men would learn to fear the Sea Wyrm, who had won his freedom from Lord Longshore's cells in an epic trial by combat.

Whether Lord Longshore was pleased or aggrieved at the outcome the histories do not say..
