I'd been planning this for a long time. A spymaster joining Marsten made it perfect.

I should note that spending destiny on the Awareness roll will get a little more text by increasing DoS, but it's probably not necessary here. :;
): Roll was good enough to get most of it.

I'm rather enjoying te various types of subtle types and/or spymasters we have. As much as I am enjoying Baelon, I do kind of wish I could get in on all that fun.

In part, because I need to add some human skulls to go with all the horse skulls I was accumulating. People were starting to look at me funny.

I now fear for Jory's life. Corrine loves him.

I believe each character type has it's fun aspects, War and combat is a particular field that Samurel either can't (war) or would rather not (combat) do. but which I find particularly fun!

Ser Wyll Rivers knew not to name a horse - it just makes it harder when they die. It didn't stop him from naming Wildfeet. Ser Duncan the Tall's master Ser Arlan would teach any who'd listen the same lesson, but he too named his trusty steeds. Sad

Jory is Corrine's trusty steed! [Not Lord Marsten, as the wags say]

Theomore doesn't name his horses. Dunstan and Yve might have named a few of them though.

That's how House Drakeson subtly threatens people, talk about horses, then ask about glue.

Nonsense! We provide a vital service! Glue is what keeps the Kingdoms bound together!

Is a handful of paltry palfreys too much to ask for this?

I THINK NOT.

Archers, give'm hell!"

The archers from House Lyras, having fought against the clans, the mercenaries invading Marsten lands as well as the bandits at the beginning of the week, raise their archers and let a volley of arrows fly. Most of the bandit's bowmen couldn't even prepare their bows still fumbling with their bowstrings, as the arrows rained down on them, killing most of them instantly.

: 5d6 18 vs CD6 = 3 DoS*6 Dmg = 18 - AR 2 = 16 -->
double their health -->
destroyed

A crucial initiative roll win by 1 for Ser Kevan! Evil or Very Mad

Veteran archers are lethal - nice to see a unit that has developed an in-game history (and that moved to veteran as a result of in-game battles) put in such a strong showing. I like little details and stories like this, makes the whole thing come alive.

Well they have quite a some history by now. Started as Trained, became green during the first battle and then increased training after the two subsequent battles. With archers it is highly probable that they will get distroyed in some battle, but I hope we can keep them somehow (even if they are reduced in training once again) because of the history they already have..

Edit: I was prepared to spend destiny on the initiative if necessary, to strike first...

I like how this rumor just spread out of nowhere.

But.. I think everyone would see that Dunstan wouldn't really do that.. especially if the entire point of that wildfire was to frame the Blackwoods in some manner.

I think the story was that you first moved the barrels and then Athelstan moved them back, though it's hard to keep track, with all these investigations going down...
