Catching fish has been the way of many a Ironborn and is a noble pursuit. Darron wasn't the best fisher but he was alright at throwing a axe. He had never considered throwing a axe at a fish in a stream or river and sure you would catch many more a fish with a spear or rod and bait but this train of thought intrigued him. He acquired a few extra throwing axes from the supply and set on his way to the stream to try his hand. If anything it was good target practice.

Spending a DP for using marksman.

Standing near to the river Darron sets his equipment down and takes in the beauty of the Forrest. The Green lands definitely had its boons compared to the rocky shores of his home land. Many a ship could be made with these trees he thought to himself. Eventually Darron got to what he had the idea for and tied a rope around the handle of the axe and enough rope under his foot so his quarry would be able to be pulled in. He sat at the rivers edge in preparation for a large enough fish. His moment came and the axe struck true the fish nearly being cut in half. Darron in his moment of joy almost forgot to pull the fish in but quickly composed himself and began to draw the fish in. A might catch he thought to himself. He prepped the fish for transport back to the Hall but the day was still young and plenty hours of hunt remained. Maybe a deer would be a good target now he thought to himself before setting off.

On the hunt for a deer Darron had remembered he had seen some berry bushes on his way to the river. He left most of his gear behind so as to make as little noise as possible while checking out the berry bush. When he arrived there was no sign of a deer but Darron remained patient and positioned himself to make a running start for the axe throw if a deer does appear. His patience paid off when a deer appeared out from the corner of his peripheral vision. It slowly made its way to the bush before taking a few berries in its mouth. Darron came out of his hiding spot and had threw the axe quicker than the deer reacted. Darron quickly put the deer out of its misery once he made his way over. Another animal falls to my throwing axe prowess he thinks to himself, with a smile he preps the deer for transport and begins to think of what to do next if he goes out to hunt again it will probably be his last for today. Eventually Daron decides to hunt for one more deer and then to head back or to catch up with how the others hunt went.

Feeling full of himself Darron gets reckless with the next deer and plans to take it out the same as the previous one. It all goes well until the actual throwing came, axe in hand and prepped for the throw Darron makes a rookie mistake and places his hand in the wrong location and botches the throw the axe missing the deer by a few inches. He audibly curses at his mistake and begins to get up and retrieve the axe. Two out of three is good right? He thinks to himself as he preps for the return trip back to Lord Brackens hall.

Jon had spent the morning in the training yard attempting to excise his foul mood and find a bit of serenity before continuing the investigation. Taking a brief respite, Jon leaned against a post and watched the assembly of nobles and knights. "
Hmpf."

Jon had no desire to go on the hunt. After killing his first man in battle he no longer found any enjoyment in hunting. What's the point of hunting something that can't really fight back? Maybe when a bear learns to wield a sword I'll hunt again. Jon laughed a mirthless laugh to himself as he watched the group slowly leave the courtyard and head out past the gate. Sighing to himself, Jon picked up his battle axe and turned back to the two Bracken guards he had been sparing with. Both were bruised and tired but Jon had goaded them into continuing. Rolling his shoulders Jon said to both, "
Shall we go again?"

Just a few more rounds with these clods and I'll be ready to continue this investigation.

[ooc]Jon skipped the event to gain +2b to the investigation[/ooc]
