Re: [Day 1, Late Afternoon] Princess Rhaenyra arrives
Dunstan hears the conversation between his uncle and the tall man, and just as he is about to introduce himself, the man mentions the fact that he is ironborn. That information was enough for the young Lord to abandon his previous intention and keep observing the delegation of the Prince and the Princess in awe. He heard stories about them reaving, raping and pillaging the lands and didn't want to do nothing with them.
Upon hearing the mention of R'hloor he further deepens his dislike of the man whom he simply finds strange.

"
I envy you that trip, I really do. As a knight, do you intend to parttake in the jousting lists? How is Daemon these days, is he still a favourite in the joust, or has his age caught up with him? I remember seing him fight once, it was a truly something special, his skill was unsurpassed, to squire for him must have been an honour."

*OOC I need to add this side commentary. I find it odd that a believer would play the religion card when their point is in favor of a religion scarcely practiced in the land they are visiting. The commonly practiced religions in Westeros are the Faith of the Seven and the Old Gods(a distant second).*

Ben ever watchful took note of the strange newcomer. wow! Has he hit his head or the bottle? Once again dismissing the conversation, he turns his eyes to to the crowd scanning for someone. His hand resting affectionately on Ellie's bare shoulder.

Theomore Tullison wrote:"
Riding a dragon feels much like riding a horse, actually. A big horse."
Theomore doesn't seem to think sea-sickness would be an issue on dragonback. "
Just more wind, and it's cold up there, magnificent view though. But one afraid of heights would likely not agree, no."
A wicked smile directed Jon accompanied the last quip.
"
So now I'm afraid of heights am I?"
Jon retorts with mock outrage. "
You seem to have forgotten who scaled the sea cliffs to seize Grey Gallows castle, when the Prince made that miserable pile of rock his own. I ask you Lord Dunstan, does that sound like a man who's afraid of heights?"
Jon is obviously enjoying the banter, but he is clearly somewhat distracted, keeping his eyes fixed on Prince Daemon even as he parries Ser Theomore's jibe.
Yoren longshore wrote:Hearing talk of dragons a tall, but gangly man walks over to these men, who seems to be so misinformed. "
A dragon is a blessed creature, never mistake it for simply being a better way of traveling. Never mistake it for an animal either. Dragons are blessed by having fire from their insides, while men like you and me will have to seek out the flame to become enlightened."
Amost as an afterthought he introduces himself: "
My name is Yoren Longshore, who are you, if i dare ask?"
Yoren looks the man up and Down: "
Being an iron islander i am quite fond of ships, but i believe you are right, travel by dragon might be better than by boat, although don't tell my family i said that, i might end up with an axe through my face. How come you have experienced riding a dragon, you presented yourself as a ser, at least from what i remember of Westeros most owners of dragons are lords, of course, my information is outdated."
He looks a little to the side before he adds: "
Of course, you cannot own a dragon, much as you cannot own a man. Rhollor would frown upon such actions."
Jon spares the odd-looking fellow a quick glance, but doesn't bother to introduce himself before returning his attention to the Princess and her husband. Longshore...ironborn...been away...R'hllor, the details trickle into his mind as he half hears the conversation behind him. Iron and fire, iron and fire...remember that.

"
I am certain you would even manage to tame a dragon, for they value courage, which you don't lack Ser Jon!"
Dunstan answers, his eyes now set on the royal couple.
Should I wave or not? he pondered and decided to lift his arm high in the air and wave to the Prince after all.

Re: [Day 1, Late Afternoon] Princess Rhaenyra arrives
Pushing and dodging his way forward Colin finally comes to a place where he can get a look at the Targaryen couple. Colin had heard much of the Realm's Delight and she did seem Valyrian enough, same for her consort, but for a moment Colin feels dissapointed that there were no dragons. As he sees Prince Daemon in possession of Dark Sister, Colin feels a pang of anger, why was he denied Lady Forlorn so that a lesser warrior might wield it? The anger that flush to him makes him irritated with things that wouldn't normally catch his attention, like a brown-haired giant with two hammers on his surcoat, gossiping with from the sound of it, a black-haired Ironman.
"
Bad view and loud neighbors"
, he says and shots the two an irritated glance. "
what else will go wrong today?"

Re: [Day 1, Late Afternoon] Princess Rhaenyra arrives
Loreia noticed a rogue movement in the crowd weaving roughly through. She briefly caught sight of a person moving against them, shoving his way through, and wondered who would be so determined to gaze upon the arrival of Daemon and Rhaenyra. An overeager supporter, or a messenger sent forth from the Tullys with an urgent notice, possibly.

Ben's ears perk up at the familiar voice. Hey pats Ellie on the shoulder, whispering into her ear. Then moves closer to Colin.
"
Perhaps if you stood on all the aurochs shit you speak you could see?"
He stands, large grin on his face waiting for Colin to recognize him.

Garret Snow wrote:Nudging the man to his left, Garret raised his face as the procession passed.
"
May the old gods, and the new bless the Princess"
Garret cupped his hands and called in a loud, clear voice.
Daveth declined to join his brother's call, despite the nudging, instead spending a few seconds to assess the nearby crowd for hostility from the mention of the Old gods. Fortunately, they were either uncaring, or too distracted by the royal couple, so he turned back to assessing the Prince and Princess.
I cheer you today, but will I curse you tomorrow? Your beauty, grace, and glory are shining like the sun, but will they burn us all? And what kind of loyal subject am I for thinking these thoughts? You have the blood of the dragons. You have the right to rule over dragons and man alike, and none may doubt your brilliance.
Perhaps that's the problem. Maybe there's too much brilliance in the world, and the gods, or fate, or whatever, decide that a balance must be kept. Is that it? Is that why we're squabbling over *colours*, like children unable to accept that others may have a preference that doesn't match ours? If that's so, then I offer my congratulations to the New gods - you're even bigger bastards than even I thought.
Daveth finally managed to get a good look at Princess Rhaenyra, smiling as she leans slightly out to wave at the crowd. I know you are the chosen heir of our king. Yours is the right of inheritance.
But, legitimacy be damned, if I were able, I'd kill you myself if I thought it would spare my family the war you seem so eager for.
He glances over at his brother's awe-struck face. And that's another reason you should inherit, brother dear, though not one I'll ever share. No lord should carry such a treasonous thought in his breast. You think my knowledge a benefit? At times like this, when loyalties will be tested, and must stand strong, it is a rot that eats away at the heart that should beat for your monarch.
Daveth watches silently as the royal carriage passes by, and waves to show his support.
We are such little men.

At first Colin flushes with anger and turns towards the voice as if ready to do violence, but it all runs away when he sees who it is.
"
And who do we have here,"
Colin smiles. "
some knightling talking back to his betters? I had a feeling I would see you around here and its good to see you. I was worried I'd only have oafs to acompany me in this endeavor. Besides, there need to be some build up in the tourney before my victory."

There is bound to be much build up which leads to a great fall for some"
Ben gives a look to imply Colin. "
I hope you brought your extra padding!"
He laughs boisterously.

I'm sure that both the Kingsguard and lords can afford their padding. But I'll be gentle with them and allow them to retain their amor."
Colin smiles. "
But how has life been treating you with Lord Dunstan?"

Ben shakes his head smirking at Colins arrogance. He looks around to Dunstan, Theomore and finally Ellie his smile widening. "
Things are good, very good."
He returns his attention back to Colin. "
And you? Surely the vale is void of all foes with Ser Colin Corbray serving up justice."

"
Good to hear."
Colin is as confident as ever. "
The knaves and outlaws of the Vale knows to keep themselves in check where I am but sadly not even I can be in more places than one at a time. But as things are now, more glory awaits for me."
Colin gives a knowing wink, and then looks at the people Ben turned to before. "
I see you keep acceptable company even after leaving the Vale. That's a good sign."

They also like to eat fools that thinks themselves Targaryens, for certain it requires bravery to become such a treat, but Jon has surely demonstrated his possession of such."
Theomore smirks.

Jon's face darkens for a moment, and when he replies his voice is cold. "
Then I must thank my blessed mother"
- Jon pauses to spit on the ground - "
for birthing me in Flea Bottom rather than on Dragonstone, and my whoreson of a father for not drinking himself to death before our kinship was plain for all to see. That way I can be sure that - though I may be a fool at times - I'm definitely no Targaryen."
Jon takes another swig from his wineskin before continuing, "
No more jibes now Ser Theomore. I feel my wit and good humor are all spent for the day."

Loreia Merrgal wrote:"
Ugh, 'may they' indeed,"
Loreia murmurs to a soldier, or perhaps in Garret's range of hearing. "
At least the Warrior does. The Prince certainly has a mind for strategy in war."
*After a little research, I've had to make changes to Loreia's opinion of the current ruling monarchs and the upstart royal couple.*
Ser Jorah arrived as the procession was passing through the market and joined in the cheering, making his way towards Loreia and Garret. It was his intent to keep an eye on the sons as much as possible during the Tourney to try and prevent any incident like the one that had cost them Joren.
"
Guardsman Loreia, anything to report?"
his voice was not demanding, but commanded respect from his subordinate.

Ben follows Colin's eyes to Dunstan and Theomore. He gives a snort of laughter.
Turning to the Tullisons he takes on a formal grace. "
Lord Dunstan, Ser Theomore, pardon my interruption, but I would like to make an introduction. This shining example of martial valor is Ser Colin Corbray, Lady Marstens shield against the clans."
The subtle sarcasm is easily recognized.

"
It is indeed."
Ser Colin makes no attempt to hide that he does not consider it wrong to be named both the example of martial valor and the shield against the clans. "
I find pride in that my friend, Benedict, has risen from lying senseless in the mud to such heights! From personal experience a good clot in the ear will wake him up if his mind starts to sleep, though."
Colin says with a smile to show he does not take offense from Benedict's ways and can shot back as well.

Ser. Nothing more exciting than the arrivals from Dragonstone. The Tullisons are over there, rubbing elbows with their mates. The one roaring above the rest is Jon Cobb. Tall, large man, carrying a big hammer. No trouble from Garret - yet,"
she added.

Cobb you say. I've heard of him. Not a man you generally want to cross,"
Ser Jorah mused, "
keep an eye on Garret, he...,"
