Yeah. Part of me thought "
I could take the fall and still win', and even without taking an injury or anything... but I mean, really.

Wait til you see the abomination orokos threw at Samurel for his offseason.
Jousting is fun and interesting! Reasonably tough to be champion - make enough TN 9 rolls and you'll fail one eventually [PCs had reasonable luck here in story 1, so maybe righting itself now].
Still, destiny, Lucky and Blood of the Andals can get all of you out of jams. The dice fall as they will!

Damn straight. Do things with style.

I think I got a grand total of 7 on 5 dices or something in chapter 2. But that was simple intrigue using deception against some nobody, so it turned out more or less alright.

Re: Tourney guests & Participants
The whole reason I took Lucky is because I rolled a 3 on 3D6, critical failing a status test in front of Prince Daemon and everyone else at the Riverrun tourney.
I burned a DP on that, so I consider Lucky to have cost me two DP. :;
):
Back to this tourney though... Reader, do you want to take control of Bold Jon for his bout against Loreia? I'm not really sure I could do justice to his reactions to Loreia's knighting.
He's green, but he's also not all that much of a stickler for Andal tradition... I'm really not sure which way to go about it.

Sensible on both the destiny point burn in story 1 and suggesting I take over Ser Jon.
I'll be on tonight for narrative, but have set up the mechanics for the first pass.

Stance: Eyes fixed.
First note - does that include the extra base damage from Eyes Fixed? If not, that's actually 22-10AR = 12 and Ser Jon has to take another injury.Loreia wrote:: 8d6k3+2 21 (spent DP: 1B -->
1D)
2 DoS: 20 dmg, TN12
Second note - good think Ser Jon can take wounds, because he might need to... or else risk loss of life (or eyes)

No it was not...thank you! Adding that now.
I can still choose consequences, Baelon. He may even unhorse me yet.

He has destiny too as a primary character! Undecided on its use yet - he might save it.
Quite a dramatic moment - bold behaviour has risks.

But then he might not have any DP free to burn so that we might kill him

I should remind people of this too:

One of the joys of a long running game is that many of you are developing a history with each other and key NPCs. That history isn't always a happy one.

Re: Tourney guests & Participants
I think so far the best Knights of Quality that could turn into interesting NPC's for their performance:
Ser Codin Toyne - Almost besting lord benedict
Ser Symon Granit - The way he fought lord Baelon to the last pass taking such brutal punishment but never faltering
Ser Gilbar Ryger - Awaiting more discussion if he bested or not lord Marsten.
Let's see of others KoQ become something to remember for the PC's and perhaps job offers.

I just noticed this... meanwhile, in the seedier side of the tournament (hey, do as I say and not as I do right Luecian? :;
): )
: 4d6 16 VS TN 12 = 4 = 1 DOS, +1 GD. to be used at a later date (most likely for alms )

Good god, I missed that too!
Ahem. If I may.
: 5d6k4 22
3 DoS!
I guess 3 dragons is kind of chump change...but with the new rules about turning Wealth to coin, sometimes chump change is useful to have handy!

I am filled with doubts that Theo's Cunning/Logic is 3 dice.

Not enough XP to get everything I want, so I must prioritize. Cunning would be on the top of the list if going by the fluff descriptions, but since making Theo an effective character needs to take priority for the sake of my enjoyment, it probably won't see much love before after chapter 4.

Not really relevant to this thread, but I've noted that high cunning characters can be quite effective in a variety of spheres, but often in fairly constrained ways - that's one of the things I wanted to explore with my take on the Daveth-character. Which, by the way, I am glad I did not follow - if only because it would have deprived us of the (to my mind superior) Daveth that we have.

Anyway, let's gamble.
: 4d6 13 +1 GD
Daveth doesn't bet big. He bets sensibly and moderately, and by the end of the jousting, he simply won more than he lost. Not flashy or dramatic, but effective.

OOC - Could someone help a brother out and roll for Ser Wyll's second pass for the joust and stay in the saddle, preferably poorly, but roll nonetheless.
