A green friend in the capitol. Interesting. What's this about House Wyl and the Queen? That seems unlikely... if not before the attack, after - but whether or not the Envious Queen is allied with Dornish agents, they might have motive to act against Ser Jorah... and if they are allied with the Queen, mayhaps we can get evidence of that while stopping any plot they might have.

I would wager that the Dornish are no more or less an honorable people than we are. Some are, some aren't. It would not do to make assumptions and let innocents suffer for it. Can you still see this green-clad Dornishman? This is definitely worth looking into, even if only to be certain no foul plots are afoot."

A man who's from Dorne doesn't necessarily mean 'the Dornish' are involved. That said, it's something worth looking into. Certainly it could mean...interesting things about what we found at Battle Valley if it's true. Or it may simply mean they're looking into the man who seems to have brought misfortune onto them."

She looks at Baelon for a moment, then back at the Septon. "
Did he notice you? Does he know you noticed him?"

Ser Tymon and Lady Helen attend the ceremony for Ser Jorah on the steps of the White Sword Tower. After the ceremony, Ser Tymon makes sure to find Ser Jorah and congratulate him and to introduce Lady Helen to him. Afterwards, Tymon wanted to see the White book entry, as he had heard it said his name was in the book, having been bested by Ser Jorah at Lord Haig Bracken’s peace tourney. He felt no shame in the defeat, the man who had bested him now wore the white cloak of the Kingsguard. He knew, even with his youthful arrogance, that Ser Jorah had spared him an embarrassment, allowing him to honorably retire, rather than risking being seriously injured or maimed by being unhorsed when he had been injured.

I doubt if he saw me, he was much too focused on the book then escaping into the crowd to focus too much on who might of noticed. "
Septon Arlyn pauses thinking then states, "
in fact, were is not for the fact that he was a dornish men, I doubt I would have even noticed him."

But I am left to wonder, what about the book seemed to draw his attention. I noticed Loriea name in Ser Jorah page, but for some reason I doubt she will be the target. Thankfully Lord Daveth has seen to it to have Loriea well gaurded."
They could tell there was a grudging amount of respect for Lord daveths decision in that regard. "
But who else could it be? The women that he saved in the trial of the seven? But the dornish have no love for the seven. The women who Benjen Frey attacked? Nay, I doubt they have much love for men who hurt women in dorne."
Septon Arlyn thinks for a moment.

Asks Septon Arlyn.

So you think this man was reading the White Book, looking for a way to hurt Ser Jorah? An interesting conclusion, though it seems like an unusual amount of effort to be spent on what would be a largely symbolic gesture. Marei is, as far as I know, well protected at this point. Loreia's skill at arms and guard would make a direct attack impractical."

She considers, reviewing what she remembered of Jorah's entry in her memory, then said, "
If I were inclined to hurt Jorah with limited knowledge and resources, I'd go after Benjen's victim. Defeating Benjen is what earned him the title of 'Just,' after all. And as far as I know she has no special protection or status. Destroying her...perhaps somehow trying to frame it as Jorah's fault...that would cast something of a pall over that title, I'd think. Even if it was only in his own eyes."

Yes, Septon. Ser Jorah's mother is a Dornish noblewoman. From a very prominent house. I have no doubt that his birth caused no small upset. It would not surprise me if her family had arranged a different husband for her. Tell me, was the man wearing anything with a sigil?"

Not that I know enough about Dornish heraldry to identify it, but it would give us a starting point.

Septon Arlyn's breath catches in his throat, the girl, that poor thing. Swallowing the lump down his throat he says, "
As far as I know she is living on the Tullison lands. I will speak with Ser Theomore about ensuring she is adequately gaurded. Perhaps you could speak with Ser Jorahs parents and ensure that they have an increased guard as well?"
Asks Septon Arlyn.

Hopefully this is all for naught, but westeros seems to be a contentious place anymore. Maybe the mere increased guard will be enough to dissuade those who would seek to cause a disturbance to Ser Jorah."
Septon Arlyn thinks then says, "
perhaps we should move the young women in secret to the Dulver's lands, she could work in the orphanage there and change her name, leading any who might seek her to the Tullison lands empty handed?"

but I do have connections with other Lord's from my time as a begging brother. It would not be too difficult to spirit away a single women to one of their lands either. But as you said, best not discuss all of our options in the open."

Setpon Arlyns eyes flash in rememberance of something the man said, not so much what he said but how he said it. "
Septon Rahman,"
Septon Arlyn suddenly murmurs, a flash of insight helping him reach his conclusion. "
There was a man who I spent some time with when I was training to be a Brother In the Starry Sept in old town. His name of Rahman, he hailed from Dorne. Oft times he would have to repeat his prayers to the older men of the older because his accent was so thick that it would make some of his words slur together."
Septon Arlyn looked back and forth between Lady Gwyn and Lord Baelon. "
I remember staying up late in the nights with the candles burning to numbs, helping Rahman speak more clearly so he would not have to repeat the prayers during services. During that time he told me of his family and life in Dorne. I asked if all men in Dorne spoke the way he did but he said that He Hailed from Sunspear, and that his aunts and uncles in shadowcity all spoke the same, with their slang and accents."

I believe that this man hails from the shadowcity or Sunspear, as either a Retainer or a martell himself. Perhaps we should ask the question of who from the capital of Dorne has been all the way to kings landing lately, that might narrow down our list of suspects. The other question to ask is why would the Martells be so invested in the ascension of Ser Jorah. Perhaps that might give us a clue as to what they might be planning"

There are many reasons why they may be interested... some of them even positive. We shouldn't jump to any conclusions, though of course taking sensible precautions is prudent."

I chose once to not work with your houses before, letting my personal grudges lead my decision making. Hoping that we could prevent the tragedy of the green door inn by ourselves. I was mistaken then, and I hope not to repeat the process again. Hopefully by working together we can prevent another tragedy."

Septon Arlyn looks uncomfortable for a moment before he continues, "
I would have hoped to speak to Lord Daveth about this, but I feel he does not hold me in the highest regard, thus may dismiss my words, seeing only the messenger and not the message."

Another pause,

"
It seems that the white book entry has also precluded any of House Drakesons deeds, or at least your name, from being attached to Ser Jorah. And it almost appears that it was done so not in the Lord Commander if the Kings guard hand. Maybe it is wise for you to be wary, Lord Drakeson. I don't know what you did to garner such... Attention, but it can be both a good and bad thing to have the attention of such powerful men. Just be aware that sometimes we might be pawns, and unaware of the elephant four squares away."

Still wise to mind the mosquito bites though. In some areas of the neck it has been said that a bite from one can cause the wasting fever. Not nearly as deadly as the butterflies from the south of essos, at least according to Dornish legend, but still deadly. I hear kings landing is another location where one should be concerned of mosquito bites, for even petty slights of honor can bring grave consequences. "
