Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
Well, I do not have access to my books right here (out of town) but I think that the spread is quite big. Consider the times we know the most of in the books (presently) even after all of Baelons prosecutions people still followed the seven it is noted ironborn houses allowing septons. Maesters is quite prevalent, and men of wisdom often spread their thoughts. Several houses have tradition of following the seven. You even have knights....

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
On the Iron Islands yeah.
But Longshore lands are in the Riverlands if I'm not mistaken. So with the Seven's territories so near, and the Drowned God worshiping territories across the sea, I think a nice chunk of population would follow the new gods.
Especially if we consider the inevitable migration of population. It all depends on a variety of demographic factors.

Even the iron islands have a population of seven worshippers, the Longshore land would probably have more.

Indeed, a small minority to match both the setting and create future story hooks.

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
Most of them smallfolk/thrall Yoren and the rare ironborn, but not someone in a position of leadership ever.
I posted my answer.
Edit:
This is prior to the events of the dragon dance.
When a man claiming to be king Lodos reborn rose in the Iron Isles, Lord Goren quickly dealt with him and sent his pickled head to King Aenys I Targaryen. In return, Aenys granted Lord Goren a boon, which he used to oust the Faith of the Seven from the Iron Isles.
So under Targaryen rule sometime during 7AC and 40 AC this takes place, so there are virtually no worship of the 7 in the Iron islands, we would be the oddball having sallfolk being the only worshipers of them.

Well, the issue is that that event is as far in the past as the Harlaws and most of the rest of that island follows the seven. I will just play ball with you for now, but a dm ruling would be good :;

You are oddballs - you're on the mainland, and therefore that decree doesn't apply to you.
There are some worshippers of the Seven (and those who believe in older folk traditions) among your smallfolk, but they're a small minority.

I think that is fairly recent as we are in 120 AC, so this is 90 years give or take, so this is very recent, and I doubt the current successor Lord Reaper, before Dalton Greyjoy the Red Kraken becomes the Lord Reaper during the Dance of the Dragons events.
That is what I said, we are the weird ones as we are in the main lands, but the rest in the Iron Islands no.

What one has to consider is this:
The smallfolk may be the very same people that were there all along. Some Longshore took a Riverland castle during the Hoare days, and managed to keep it after the conquest. You could be looking at a case where the Longshores and those living in the castle are hewing to the Ironborn ways, while everything around them keep doing as they've always done.

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
Eurovision is filled up with Eastern Europeans trying to stroke their nationalistic ego, and an assortment of artists from the west that are desperate enough for attention that they try their luck.
And then you have us Norwegians, that like Theomore, rejects your rules and substitute them for our own and then all sorts of awesome ensues.

Good thing I was but a child when it was fashionable with that sort of pants.

I'm one of those eastern europeans, minus the nationalism. Cool to know you are a from Scandinavia, Theo:) I frankly would enjoy learning more about you in rl.
And Corrine, its 6 am here now, and I gotta dmit I'm very drunk. Gf came for a visit and we spent a day in the lake with many edibles and a wide array of wine.

I love Eurovision, though I was disappointed in the lack of comedy acts this year. I watch it for the high camp.
Sounds like you had a fun time! It's 5:30am here, so we must be in adjacent time zones. I was drunk several hours ago, but sobered up now and getting into bed. Handily, I baked lots of muffins yesterday, so I ate a bunch of them to soak up the booze.

I feel like a training montage would be appropriate...
Baelon &
Daemon, Edmund and Ilyrio, Ser Jorah and the kingsguard, Ser Jorah and Wrecker Jon...

I knew I was leaving some out, I couldn't remember them all And I am posting on my phone So trying to look them all up was not going to happen.
Yeah, Rocky 3 would be good. +1 to someone who posts a video clip of it... or the Homestar Runner training montage.

I played a sensei in L5R's winter court IV, and had used up almost all my training montage ideas by the end of it. I was in a ludicrous number of that kind of scene, as there was a mechanical need for training...

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
L5R deadlier than this one is all I can tell, the Courts are scarier, I lost a tiger general to a court against a Lion Clan sore loser ambassador, since the lowly Small Clan samurai polished the floor of his lands with their manes, I ended up sending mine in a silver platter for it...

That's because Lord Gorman is a wuss. Or you'd be dead now (or awaiting the crows to come by to empty the dungeon). And Ser Meddrick would be dead if he had endurance 3 instead of 4, and while I don't think we actually rolled alcohol toxicity for Byron, Daveth probably saved his life.
Then there's Sam the guardsman. Possibly Dunstan's sweetheart.

I still believe L5R is far deadlier regardless of events in this game.
