Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
lol
It was the same with Walking Dead, which was also great. It's sort of...you're guiding this character, but the character's choices may not be what you want them to be. You're not "
playing"
them like in an RPG, even if it feels like you are sometimes. A given character might consider doing one of several things, but would never do the other thing;
the thing you want them to do.

I played 1-3. Didn't get episode 4 yet. Looking forwards to it, though!

Yes, and you are not playing the game for big game changers, I think it is the playing of a character and doing hard moral dilemmas, I just love to hate that game sometimes :;

Yeah, a good rule of thumb is that if you're emotionally involved in the game's story (as opposed to just raging at the controls, or GUI or other aspects of the mechanics of it), then the game is winning...even if you're not cheering, or happy.

I cried at the walking dead season 1 finale, for like five minutes, but I also have had periods of rage over the games choices. Why could you just not subdue ****

It was not as good, they should have left it after the first one, as that was marvellous. However they did not do a bad job at the second, its just that nothing compares to the first one ...

I also got upset at the end of the Walking Dead Season 1 game, and I'm currently playing Season 2.
I've only played Chapter 1 of the GoT one. I have to very carefully control my doses of GoT, because triggers.
Played all of The Wolf Among Us, and loved it.

For Casque and Wren purposes, is Sofia Blackwood Status 4 or higher?

For all purposes, she is indeed status 4!
Speak to her tonight, before her father confines her to quarters once more.

Is she at the mummer show? If not, perhaps the ball...

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
She is indeed at Casque and Wren, sorry for ambiguity. Meant that it was your big chance to catch her.
On the ball, as some people have asked: Agility (any) for those of you looking to engage in a dance off.
Can't promise official slam dancing events will use the same abilities. :;

What I like of hat game is that at least they flesh out 1 House, and give us a completely new one and some good background and ideas of it.
Of course I will eventually play all episodes...

Athelstan ought to learn that move.
(this is a reference "
Shindig"
, the same episode of Firefly that I took "
Can I call you Ath?"
from)

But back to why we are here. Here is the Reynolds manoeuvre. You disguise your intent by placing your blade just behind your back, giving them what they think is an opportunity. If you hold it just so, your blade can be brought to bear if they don’t fall for it, but if they do, you spin on your back foot, moving you to the side and enabling you to attack your opponent’s flank, where generally you can find more gaps.
Incidentally, this was named after a ship’s captain killed in a duel over a Courtesean, or so I am told. Apparently, he thought he was doing well."

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
You know, I never expected to hear, in or out of character, a sentence that can be summarised as "Benedict Blackthorne wrote:Just as Ben is about to depart he spins on his heels. "
My Lord, perhaps we should have a field ready maester with us in case of unforeseen injuries. Our own Maester Haelis may be good but very unprepared for the battlefield I believe."
(OOC: This is me throwing out a possibility for Jorah to suggest Daveth. Feel free to shoot it down.)
I would take [person], but they're not prepared for the battlefield. Let's take Daveth instead."

Well technically IC Ben doesn't suggest Daveth, but Ooc I was trying. I once played a Barnell/Coldbrook. Selling Daveth to Tomas is not easy.

"

Foolish?! She talks like I've ruined everything!
It's a shame I can't tell her just how close she came to have a Longshore son-in-law. That would put things right into perspective!

You know, the 'What's in the box' thread is darkly and discordantly hilarious when you read it while envisioning us in our various costumes.
Kind of like 'Death to Smoochy'.
