Hmm. Corrine is definitely not a Bene Gesserit... but is she human? I'm envisioning Lady Isobel with a poisoned needle... not sure what to do for a pain inducer though. Maybe a bowl of wildfire?Reader wrote:A prize to anyone who gets a "
Fear is the mind-killer"

Here's what Reader was thinking of - the Litany against Fear:
I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I *am* fully aware of Dune and the litany against fear. :;

I do rather like the thought of Corrine as an Atreides figure.

Daveth's posts are excellent, so hoping he finds the time to show up in your nightmare too, he's pretty thematically appropriate.
I don't think he has a place in Theomore's nightmare, his brother on the other hand...
Ooh good idea, hopefully a Coldbrook or Narrator (uh, me?) can get to that.
As for Dune and Corrine as an Atreides type, I remember some scandalous early rumours about the Marsten girls from early in the game, so:
The Galacian girls do it for pearls,
And the Arrakeen for water!
But if you desire dames like consuming flames,
Try a Caladanin daughter!

My bad people, just tryin' to help.
I guess it's only natural that the Targaryen among us have to collaborate with Reader about what his dreams are, dragon bond and all that. Perks of being part of the "
family"
, for better or worse!

No worries, liked you and Corrine discussing the dreams. Glad to see you and others start appearing in other PCs dreams - provides a slightly different avenue for rolelplay compared to what we've all done so far.

Very confused - not sure what you are apologizing for, and I didn't collaborate with Reader about the dream, just thought about what Baelon might hate and fear about himself - and if is going to appear monstrous, there was really only one kind of monster that would make sense.

I thought it was about Theo saying the 'drowning in prizes' part of his dream was "
meh"
.
meh"
.

They're two separate things. First is about Greens and Blacks. Second is a comment on how it seems Baelon worked with Reader to set up his dream. Targaryens gets special dragon dreams. It is known.

Ah, I see. Well, my dream was not intended to be a dragon dream (in the sense of the stark wolf dreams). Just a nightmare made from his own sub-conscious.

Obviously Orokos is giving me a hand because I'm the narrator.

Troy, yes.
It popped into my mind to have Theo say something about the meaning of life...and the place of excitement in it. So I got lazy and copypasted.

Garret didn't stick to the deal very well did he. By LM he was eye-f@#king Corrine in front of her betrothed.
Good luck with that!

Heh, at least he has the basic decency to not actually try to fuck her. Though he'd get a kick in the pants if he did.

That would be some fun drama! Would endanger the Marsten-Coldbrook relations though. Especially since Daveth wants Garrett to be a prominent part of his rulership.

Hmm. I get the feeling that house coldbrook would be better off if Garret died honorably in battle or volunteered for the Night's Watch. He's going to be trouble sooner or later... he's perfect for narrator scheming.

Not sure whether hitting him in the G&
B will help or hurt, but if he is smart the warning should make him think twice. It could have easily been a blade.

He might not even know what it was for. We'll see when the dust settles, I suppose.

Yes the "

was Garret, approved by Reader. Did you read the House Matters thread? That was a bit more than eyein up.
