Yoren, it's not as simple as differing opinions, but I don't have the mental energy to argue anymore. I have enough annoying crap in my RL without it being in my escapism too.

Re: Game Discussion
Glad to see one of our PCs wearing his new gift, fashion be damned (my emphasis below).
Baelon wrote:Baelon enters along with Daveth and Gwyn. He is dressed in comfortable but fashionable attire in Drakeson colors: dark, almost blood-red hose, a dusky-purple shirt with a high-collared black sleeveless jerkin. The jerkin bears embroidery of a dragon in flight and a silver star-shaped pin adorns it's right-hand collar. Black leather boots and belt round out the ensemble. On the belt is a dagger in a fine, blue-dyed leather sheath - somewhat mismatched to his outfit - but no other weaponry.

My internet woes are over!
So if anyone wants a scene with Gwyn, please remind me. My inbox has been choking of late, so I may have lost any missives.

Did people edit posts in the forming the treaty thread?
Because I seem to remember a Daveth post with Baelon's writeup presented in it.

Sorry. I've been watching the Doctor. Doctor Who I mean. It's weird, I have a habit of forgetting the name of the show while I'm watching it(except at the title screens).

Apologies, yes. Daveth posted on my behalf, but I had been in the process of working up a post. I notified him in our forum and he graciously retracted his post.
Thanks to him for his conscientiousness, and to everyone else for their patience. I will make that post a priority.

Here is the simple intrigue model for those as lazy as I am :;
):
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4MEOZ ... sp=sharing
(I hope the link works)
Some general remarks:
- The model is extremely simple, once frustration is taken by a participant, rolls have to be adjusted manually. This could be changed easily, but that would require that every dice has to be entered individually. I don't think that is quicker, which is why I did not include it
- The thing is not yet bug tested, so it could well be that some inputs lead to quirky outputs
- The sheet was only built for myself and therefore lacks any description, sorry
- For those not used to work with excel: Only the cells with blue text are input cells, everything else should be left untouched

Hey, Arlyn?

Let me review:
a)A funeral is held by two feuding houses at their respective seats of power for a lot of people who have died.
b)Luecian misspeaks at the funeral and says something dangerous.
c)Luecian is challenged by Ser Colyn, defending his lord's honor.
d)House Dulver's champion is victorious and would like to celebrate with dinner and drink with the Dulvers and their friends who have gathered.
e)Septon Arlyn would like to go the extra mile and throw a feast for everyone. All the nobles, all the locals.
f)During an investigation.
g)On the same day as the funeral.
h)Because Ser Colyn was a worthy challenge, such that everyone should celebrate his defeat.
Let's divorce from our characters for a moment. I just want to ask you a question. Are you sure you want this to fall through?

a)A funeral is held by two feuding houses at their respective seats of power for a lot of people who have died.
Yes,
b)Luecian misspeaks at the funeral and says something dangerous.
Yes and then he was;
c)Luecian is challenged by Ser Colyn, defending his lord's honor.
Who then was accepted by Ser tymon
d)House Dulver's champion is victorious and would like to celebrate with dinner and drink with the Dulvers and their friends who have gathered.
Yes,
e)Septon Arlyn would like to go the extra mile and throw a feast for everyone. All the nobles, all the locals.
Yes, feasts are common after funeral's and at celebrations. The completion of the treaty and focus on peace is what this treaty will be focusing on
f)During an investigation.
This is day 7, the investigation is essentially over, things will have been decided and the treaty written up by the end of this day.
g)On the same day as the funeral.
This is day 7, 2 days after the funeral, but even then it would not be uncommon to have a feast after a funeral, it would just be a more somber occasion.
h)Because Ser Colyn was a worthy challenge, such that everyone should celebrate his defeat.
It would be more about celebrating Ser tymon's victory, the completion of the peace treaty, and trying to bring together 3 houses (plus all the home house's) over foods and merriment. It is an attempt to solidify the treaty and thank the houses and populace for putting up with all of the investigating houses men. I'm thinking the earliest this happen's is end of day seven, but most likely it happens end of day 8 to give us time to plan and prepare for the shindig

Re: Game Discussion
I was certain someone would take offense, but if you would like to pitch the idea to the leaders of the royal camp, and possibly Lord Myles and Lord Haig, feel free. House Bartheld may gladly lend support. Personally, I think everyone would be better off having their own feasts if they wish, and keeping it low-key.

Loreia is wise, drunk people who hate each other and booze is a fun combination for narrators.
However, characters don't always have to do sensible things: see Corrine Marsten explaining military matters to Ser Myles Blackwood. :;

We get them drunk, then we marry Haig Bracken and Myles Blackwood, and they will start a golden age for both of their houses.

Re: Game Discussion
So I've been reading about sending someone to the wall as a punishment and I have only really seen it use as an alternative chosen by the accused so he doesn't have to undergo the sentenced passed by the lord, i.e. a thief would have his hands removed but instead request to be sent to wall. I am simply asking the Reader to make a definitive statement on if we can just send someone to the wall or does the accused have to request being sent to the wall?

Re: Game Discussion
I'm pretty sure it can be given as a punishment in itself. If it had to be requested, the Wall would be more understaffed than it already is.
