Let's just straw poll, give 1-2 days, then lock in the votes. That way people will have a chance to PM/IC debate it before the final tally comes in.

That way if someone wishes to try and change some ones mind they have a chance to.

But I think reader is who we are waiting on now...

I think that robs us of a lot of IC fun tbqh. Plus a lot of nuances on the treatymaking. The Tyron issue being that it could be a very hard sell to levy anything more than a fine on him without further adjusting punishment on others upwards for consistency.

I can see the merit for making separate threads for Blackbuckle and The Septry, those shouldn't affect (or be affected by) any other decision we make.

The RP discussion is still there, it's just that we are able to move the game forwards so that we can start later threads. We know where we stand, discussion won't change much.

IC fun? Haven't had that for months, thanks to having to deal with this treaty and it's associated mess. Rolling Eyes

Did anyone have any legitimate concerns regarding the rulings in the treaty for anything besides what's currently being discussed? That's the question. Let's not assume right off the bat that we're gonna get to arguing over most issues on the current draft.

Not really. I was just going to add that Lord Haig is going to be completing 7 tasks that new and the reader cooked up. I wanted it to come out piecemeal in IC discussion but I guess reader and I can work out the info dump together.

BTW, thanks Ereth for the idea ☺️

That's why I said that anybody else may provide links, and then I can add it to the list. Then we can see if others have different cases.

My only objection was that Piper only getting fine when he commited an act of banditry. Other than that I am happy

There is the option of killing him too. I should perhaps have a step in between fines and death? Perhaps I should have added the wall... However I felt like he could always opt for the wall if he is sentenced to death.

If it is still possible to add that option, that would be great, because we had that specific discussion with regard to Steffon :;

Sorry, once the survey is done you can't go back retroactively Sad We can make another poll with the options of Wall or death though... Or just let him know that the wall is always open for able men.

Things that will come up:

Dorne mentioned in the treaty, as it stands Tullison will want to leave it out and Theo has at least verbal agreement with three others to support that motion. That could go over with little enough discussion.

Clarification that Ser Tyron acted on his own accord as far as Darry and Salted fields goes if that is indeed the case in the treaty wording will be requested.

Pending intrigue with Ser Frank Mooton, the outcome may lead to suggestions to treaty text.

On punishment:

I think the big discussion is Ser Tyron, some of us doesn't think his actions qualify for more than a fine as a stand-alone, so to remove him from the scene, there must either be a brute force by four houses or some sort of compromise to be found.

Ser Olyvar we have to figure out how to punish. Someone might object to Maester Arran and Lord Benji.

Also discussions about appropriate punishment for Ser Humphrey Piper and his men at Pennytree, and possibly Ser Frank Mooton at the mines (pending intrigue result) will be required.

And the iron mine revenues will require some debate as well. And possibly additional measures such as sending people to the wall or to hold Black and Bracken accountable for the actions of men under their command. The general "
must spend X amount of revenues on Y"
I think we can say okay to, or agree to some other form of reasonable way to keep them building for peace rather than war that applies to both.

All of these are a part of the poll apart from Frank Mooton. I don't know the particulars of his case, so I won't make tgat poll myself.

Wonderful work on this. Yoren, you and Baelon have done great work on the OOC side of putting together a suitable IC treaty. Smile

The problem I see with treating them all as separate issues is that they are not separate issues. How one thing gets decided may affect how others are decided.

Please, for the sake of my sanity, can we get the stuff we agree on out of the way, at the very least? We really all ought to be further along in forming opinions at this point.

I mean are any of the voters still unconvinced on which way they are going to vote? If not I think we should just stick to the straw polls so we can just get this over with. If voters still need convincing we should make the Seperate threads to speed things up. It seems to me that we are rushing to get this done so dealing with each issue one by one on a play by post game is going to slow things down.
