So you all influence what the resources is being spent on??? I got a headache just by doing Yorens stuff alone, I'm impressed!Septon Arlyn wrote:[url:3el3yei9]https:

here is a link to a spreadsheet that I made to help track house fortnes. At house Dulver we have a "
game of dulvers"
were we each compete against each other as well as against Lord Dulver and Maester Falsten in order to try and control what the focus is of the house, as well as having to enter into an intrigue if we want Lord Dulver to spend anything (greedy penny pincher that he is :;
): oh wait, I mean frugal, wealth conscience, hyper protective and smart lord )
feel free to barrow this format if it fits your needs. I find it easier to view things on spread sheets and feel like I can make more sense of what is happening if I view it this way. Also I add links to the rolls that I made in the spread sheet so things can be quickly and easily verified.
This is fairly basic, but it gets the Idea across :;

Yeah we do. I actually made it when I was by myself, that way I had some basic AI to work against. Also if I was not on house Dulver's lands that month it gives some direction for the house to go in.

Re: Game Discussion
Dulvers stay sharp on intrigues by scheming against each other in the offseason. Makes things easier when they scheme against less cunning fellow PCs during stories. :;

I remember Liar's Dice from Red Dead Redemption. It made me feel so smart when I played because I got good, but to be fair it was probably programmed to be easy. By comparison, a real game is much more difficult I imagine.

Re: Game Discussion
Weak AI opponents not withstanding, that version is actually much harder. There are 7776 possible combinations per player to guess from, vs the only 21 total in this version (you only have to guess one opponent at a time)Loreia wrote:I remember Liar's Dice from Red Dead Redemption. Also, this version heavily advantages the first player, who has almost no reason to bluff, while the other players have on average a greater than 50% chance of being forced to.

Best not look at that wardrobe, Corrine. Probably wouldn't go well if you were to find Ben's borrowed clothes in there.

It evens out over the rounds as who goes first changes. At least in theory.

Re: Game Discussion
Story 2 objectives awarded. Full black/green scoring and detailed objectives returning from market town mini event onwards, given the requests for this in the game review thread.
Only two houses got full points for story 2 (in part because many roleplayed rather than ruthlessly pursued house goals) but everyone did a great job. Treaty balanced in the end, so most only got a point of influence.

Re: Game Discussion
Fine story spinning based on narrator provided mechanical framework and may be of interest to not just the pcs involved, but also Bartheld and Marsten (OOC, until you learn of matters IC).

Re: Game Discussion
Whopping -6 influence hit to House Coldbrook and Tully for their scandalous behaviour in Loreia's knighthood, plus a drawback for Ser Eoric.
Well done to the Coldbrook players for pursuing this story thread rather than relentlessly min-maxing.

Is the Persuasion check you mentioned in that thread open to all, or just Coldbrooks?

Probably just Coldbrook as they are the only ones in the scene?

It was unclear if Reader meant it to be just confined to the scene, or if it would be relevant to people finding out later.

Just Coldbrooks. No dog-piling my crippling penalties to mitigate/exacerbate them (unlike previous minor scandals). :;
):
Other can contribute at tourneys &
subsequent events to attempt to make this more/less acceptable. It's MASSIVELY IRREGULAR, but such are the unhappy times we live in. Via narrative and the return of Green/Black scoring, hopefully everyone will have a chance to influence how the realm sees this event.
Indeed, devoting an offseason to it may appeal to some (DoS to convince some NPCs of its acceptability/outrageous nature, to defend/shame House Coldbrook or Eoric etc). Get creative and pitch me ideas.
Everyone will know about this within a couple of days of it happening. It's huge news and spreads rapidly - in what form is to some extent up to the PCs.

Okedokes. Corrine will be very vocal about what a great step forward Loreia's knighthood is, and will sing both her and Ser Eoric's praises.

Feel free to harangue other PCs in scenes during Lord Redwain's tourney. If the narrator would be so bold, this might even be the kind of thing that Green and Black PCs could intrigue one another about:
reasonable stakes, but not "
convincing someone to switch sides/murder their lord/renounce the Seven"
, if people fancy some PC v PC intrigue.

Lord Ereth will fight his lord's enemies as a Black, he does not agree with the knighting of Loreia.
