No, and seems increasingly important if anyone is up to drafting something, then we can fine tune as a group.

Welcome to Dragon's Dance! It can be combative. :;

Although it also brings to mind the old Oscar Wilde quote that the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about, which has been raised a few times here!
Enjoyed the verbal sparring with your lord husband, shines a light on time and Ayleth's comments on Lord Redwain's decision over a new champion show how politically astute she is.

Re: Game Discussion
Rough suggestion as to where the player houses can be found.
1: Coldbrook, 2: Tullison, 3: Marsten, 4: Longshore, 5: Dulver, 6: Bartheld
Drakeson would be at the coast east of Coldbrook. Redwain would be somewhere south of the twins? And The tower of falling stars should be boxing in House Lucas between the green fork and other Frey Domains

Drakeson actually has a definite location... let me see if I can find the map....
Here:
Coldbrooks are somewhere west of there, yes.

Re: Game Discussion
I though castle Grenward was near the Saltpans and Harroway's Town, at least in the Chronicle Starter map it is. Then Drakesons were near by the Coldbrooks.

Nice! Best we make a small riverlands map with PC Houses, will see if my (terrible) mapping can do so.

It makes the most sense for those of us sworn to houses other than the Tullys (or the Frey in the case of Kytley) should be on the outskirts of the Riverlands, not smack-dab in the middle of it.
Looking at other locations such as Wayfarer's Rest and Pinkmaiden, both considered to be in the Riverlands, I think Dulver lands should be somewhat more westward. Perhaps around where the Tumblestone's label is, a bit east of Nunn's Deep?
Coldbrook would be north or northwest of the Twins, perhaps at that southern bit of forest, extending east towards the Green Fork?.
Drakeson is where it is on the map above, the triangle-ish area framed by the Bite, the Mountains of the Moon, and the Kingsroad.
Longshore should probably be on the Cape of Eagles, with Redwain between them and the Twins, I'd say.
Kytley is also near there, south/southeast of Seaguard, perhaps in on the border of the Hag's Mire.
Marsten should be in the mountains near the (north) entrance to the High Road, perhaps just south of "
gate"
in the label "
The Bloody Gate"
.
Tullison should be on the other side of that mountain, perhaps a little NE of Palisade Village, maybe about where the T in "
The Bloody Gate"
is.
Bartheld is perhaps south of Harrenhall, where the Kingsroad meets up with the woods that also border the God's Eye.

Based on prior conversation with Reader, we are either right on or very near the Kingsroad.Baelon wrote:Coldbrook would be north or northwest of the Twins, perhaps at that southern bit of forest, extending east towards the Green Fork?.

Re: Game Discussion
The map in the chronicle starter places Marsten upriver from Strongsong, and Tullison just across on the riverland side of the mountain range. Rest of that map is rather useless. I put Longshore west of Oldstone, but an axis starting from them being on the cape of eagles going to The Twins and with Redwain roughly on it makes sense.
Kytley I didn't bother to place, but Hag's Mire sounds suitable. Bartheld and Coldbrook is in the vicinity of where you suggested on my map (dunno if other people can see the thing, might be me using the wifi on the bus I'm on atm).

Re: Game Discussion
House Redwain of Helmstead is an new and honorable house, one of the newest families sworn to House Frey of the Crossing. Their seat is at Greenrest, located between the Kingsroad and the Green Fork, northwest from House Tullison and west from House Haigh. Their blazon is a white helm over red field with a sable bend and their motto is "
Virtue is the Safest Helmet"
.
Had this up before discussion came up of were House Redwain was located, of course narrator can choose to change my location if this is not suitable.

I completely ignored that map... too many issues, and I wanted to refer to something everyone can see. I tried to locate houses by description/ holdings, with an eye to geographical and political ties (like clansmen moving from Marsten to Tullison lands, enmity between Longshore and Mallister, etc.)Theomore Tullison wrote:The map in the chronicle starter
Southwest of Tully would be the opposite direction from the Twins, which seems unlikely. On my phone at the moment so I can't consider the other landmarks. Will check later.Ereth Redwain wrote:Their seat is at Greenrest, located between the Kingsroad and the Green Fork, northwest from Marketplace and Southwest of House Tully and House Haigh.
Hmm. There's not much in the way of woods there, if memory serves... I'll take another look when I get home.Daveth Coldbrook wrote:Based on prior conversation with Reader, we are either right on or very near the Kingsroad.

They're very much in love.
Nobody else is having kids, so we're making the most of that niche.
Seriously though, I've had their family pre-planned since their secret wedding.

With all these weddings, I'm sure there will be the pitter-patter of little combat boots in quite a few halls and castles soon enough.

Pfft, no shame in being a good parent (and fun in the sack)
It's not weddings that do it, case in point: yourself. :;
