Hope you had a good time and did not get caught up in any of the trouble. Would love to go to a big tournament.
Fortunately, I havent been in Marseille! Saw a couple of games, had the opportunity to celebrate with fans from many countries. All around a great experience.
Special mention of the Irish fans who are just an awesome, cheerful and peaceful group!

I remember the good old days when they won the World cup, and played great football while doing it... I remember when I was proud bragging about how they have never beaten my countrys national teamSer Alfred Haigh wrote:7-1

Is your national team that good or diod they never make it this far ?
Looking at the results from 2014 and also 2016, some big teams seem to have become a bit complacent. Perhaps its time for a resurgence of the teams of old that haven't been too successful in the recent past and thus haven't gotten as used to being a favourite or the underdogs who have put up a strong performance, like Iceland or my personal surprise of the tournament so far, the Northern Irish and Croatians.

Norway! We've only played a few times against Brazil, and with a combination of dumb luck and a very physical kind of football we are the only team to stand undefeated against Brazil:P
Iceland and Switzerland are the two best countries in the world, in my opinion, and Iceland has the best talent development. Nobody has more nobel prize winners per capita, The mountan from a game of thrones is from Iceland, and one of the strongest men alive. As the climate is so harsh they have more indoors football playing fields than any other countries. 8% of their population traveled to the Euros!
I hope that other nations take a note from Icelands book, because sports is the greatest cure for most of the ailments we have in the western world:)

Re: Game Discussion
We just need to get a manager who doesn't put a midfielder that never has played striker in his life up front when you lost 1-0 in the first game.
Actually, we need a non-Norwegian manager, because else the idiots in the association will just hire another guy that they like, and the association is a crony club made up of people that the clubs doesn't want to hire because they're that incompetent.
Norway could have a good team if we had a manager with the balls to have media darling #1 play in the U-21 until he gets matching on a club level that is such that he doesn't need the first 45 minutes to adjust to the tempo of international games. And play with the same guys enough matches in a row so that they actually know what it's all about. Also with the guts to put a few of the central midfielders we have on the bench.
We shouldn't have had any problems to get into the finals and past the group stage with the players we have, but the current leadership has spent the past two decades entrenching itself by adding crony after crony, each one more incompetent than the last.

Who is Griff narrowing his eye at? It seems like Daeryssa or Devy, but I don't know which of us.

I think he may have taken issue Ser Devyn's comment about finding Daeryssa a husband.

Once again, my Westerosi wife knows me well. Not so much issue as it is becoming clearer to Griff what type of man Ser Devyn is.

He's mostly a traditionalist, though if he was really hardline about it, he wouldn't be letting Daeryssa squire him in thr first place. So he's not a total puritan. :;

Re: Game Discussion
Took me a long time to come back to that gift-giving thread for Corrine and Ben's wedding. Even if players go negative in disposition toward other players, they can still control their interactions, and honestly I don't think I'm likely to find myself in an intrigue with Ellie, barring the possibility of one time.
I'm switching the penalty from Ellie to Lady Isobel, and instead, her disposition will be lowered by 1. For story potential. Corrine offered for Daveth to provide an assist, but I really think it's better this way.

Makes sense. Isobel is the sort to dislike Loreia anyway.

Oh so very much. She's too polite to say you're an abomination, but that doesn't stop her thinking it.

Heh,
Lady Durant would be a title reserved for the lady of House Durant, as in either the head of the house or his spouse.
Theomore tiptoes around the whole thing by consistently using Shieldmaiden.

Isn't House Duant a thing that came up when Loreia was knighted ? I had the impression at least.

Re: Game Discussion
Well, if a lowborn is knighted, the enter nobility, which means they get a last name thingy because smallfolk generally don't have those, correct ?
Thjats the way I look at it, of course, might not be too canon. In any case a nice thing to abuse ICly
