[D4 Joust Round 2] Ser Baelon Waters v Ser Eoric Tully
Ser Eoric? Surely it's not some mere matter of chance that the son of the Dragon should face off against the son of a Green Lord Paramount...
After his last near mishap, Baelon decides that a more conservative tactic is in order.
Maneuver: Defensive 2
Passive Ride: 18
AR 7
Health: 9/9
Fatigue/Injuries/Wounds: 0/0/0

Re: [D4 Joust Round 2] Ser Baelon Waters v Ser Eoric Tully
Ser Eoric had shaken his head when he saw the draw for the second round. His father fancied himself more subtle than he actually was. Aye, and twice as smart as he was.
The heir to House Tully was everything a father would want in a son - skilled, disciplined, healthy. Everything a father could want, but for one thing...
Ser Eoric wears a black ribbon tied to his right arm - a lady's favour or a political statement?
Passive Ride: 14
AR 9
Health: 12/12
: 9d6k4+2 25
Result = 16 damage before armour

I will spend a DP to convert a rolled die to a test die, so 25 [3 DoS] 27 - 9 AR = 18 damage and a TN 15 ride check
25 vs. passive ride 18 is 2 DoS, TN 12 to avoid being unhorsed. How much damage?

[OOC: damage updated above, Ser Eoric tumbles from his steed. Please note the spent DP on your sheet. Well struck!

Re: [D4 Joust Round 2] Ser Baelon Waters v Ser Eoric Tully
Ser Eoric tumbles from his horse, but does not seem too much the worse for it.
Baelon dismounts and offers his foe a friendly hand up.
"
A solid hit, Ser Eoric. I'll be feeling that one in the morning. Would you care to join me for a drink this evening?
Perhaps as a way to remain out of earshot of all the hopeless want-to-be minstrels at the competition?"
OOC: 16 before armor = 9 after, so I take 1 injury to reduce it to 6 so as not be defeated.
Now I wish I hadn't spent that DP, he'd have failed the test anyway. Such is life, eh?
No consequence other than the standard ransom and that he accept my above request , if possible :;

Re: [D4 Joust Round 2] Ser Baelon Waters v Ser Eoric Tully
Ser Eoric still looks dazed from the great blow Baelon dealt him.
He speak softly, too softly for any but Baelon to hear.
"
By the Seven, you are your father's son."
He exhales and breathes in, gulping for air.
"
I'll hold you to that offer."
He composes himself, and now speaks in the commanding voice of the scion of House Tully, loud enough for the crowd to hear.
"
Well ridden Ser and good fortune to you!"
[OOC: Baelon's chivalry shifts him to amiable, please mark this on your character sheet]

"
"
So they tell me, Ser.
Shall we meet at the Huntsman, or do you have another preferred watering hole?"

"
Until this evening then, Ser."
Baelon claps him on the shoulder - positioned to be absorbed by Ser Eoric's armor and not aggravate any injuries.
