Re: AFK thread
I am now travelling, but the forum marked loads of stuff read that I hadn't seen yet, so I'm a bit peeved and lost. I have done my best to look at everything I think I haven't seen, and reply where possible, but if you're waiting on me for something, please nudge me by PM.

Re: AFK thread
I've had the problem that it sometimes marks stuff I have read as unread.
Not the other way around though.

It only does that for me when switching between my desktop computer and my phone.

Definitely sounds like it's using browser cookies rather than storing the information internally. Poor design in this age of mobile devices.

Re: AFK thread
Limited posting today and stopping soonish. Was a bit busy with OPEC stuff during the day. Think I'm positioned ok, but won't find out until tomorrow (Asia hasn't had a chance to react yet, beyond US listed Asian stocks/depository receipts). Hope I'm right and that I don't have to run around like a headless chicken tomorrow/Friday, but sometimes correlations breakdown and thinks you thought were oil sensitives turn out not to be!
Also, playing card games on Friday (Doomtown and Arkham Horror LCG), so no posting on what's often a productive evening. Sorry!

I'm sure you'll all releived to learn I cam through "The Day after Opec" in reasonable shape. Touch wood that the coming days are as kind!
As noted, busy on Friday but aiming to soft launch at the weekend with Story 3 and to move on my Velaryon combat and respond to some back-fill stuff too. Lots of strong contributions from our new players, some successes to reward and critical failures to turn in to enemies and interesting stories.

Been very busy the past day and that's probably not going to change until late on today.

Re: AFK thread
Going to sleep now, sure you're all delighted to learn that my cousin and I enjoyed many games of the Doomtown Reloaded LCG and completed the Arkham Horror Card Game core box campaign. A productive evening of gaming! I recommend both card games highly, almost as much fun as Dragon's Dance.

I like Arkham Horror a lot. You need a huge table for it though.

Re: AFK thread
The new card game doesn't use up too much room, I'll confess I've never played the board game. It's supposed to be very good.
Hope they don't revoke my board gamer status for that confession.

Hah! Ah ok, I misunderstood. I thought you meant the board game.

They look to be very similar - same investigators, theme etc. It was a grand evening of gaming.

On my second trip to Glasgow, so posting will likely be sporadic until tomorrow. I'll try to answer OOC messages though.

Back early, and still smelling at foreign dirt I hope I didn't miss anything. Best of luck Daveth, I hope you find something soon.

Wife is in glasgow for a waacking class with her sister tomorrow [sic].
Assuming work isn't too busy/hellish, can hopefully get a good chunk of posting done.

Re: AFK thread
Sleep! Pleased to manage lots of posting on Monday as promised.
Heroically sacrificed watching Westworld to post, thanks for repaying me with some fine public posting and private forum work (Luecian and Nathaniel, thumbs up for the latter!). Story 3 heating up nicely (and new players fitting in well in both current storyline and back-filling historic events. Need to go wrap up their back-fill posts at some point this week).

My wife and I are about to shotgun the last 4-5 episodes of Westworld ourselves (desperate to finish off the season before we see any spoilers).Reader wrote:Sleep! Pleased to manage lots of posting on Monday as promised.

Your heroic sacrifices are much appreciated, especially by this new player busy with backfill.

Thanks to all for your well-wishes. I'm nominally back in the right frame of mind, although still very busy. Will try and get remaining Coldbrook tourney stuff up in the next day or two.

Splendid. Best wishes and will prioritise your stuff in the short run as I'd left it in the interim.

Night all! Thursday looks good for posting, wife has one of two (!) Christmas parties. Will see how Wednesday goes too, unsure.

Re: AFK thread
Aware that there are a number of PMs waiting for me, was busy tonight reviewing draft wall storming, but more importantly with cooking as wife home late from work. Then needed to help her with some maths (lawyers have other people to do sums for them!), cutting in to valuable posting time.
As noted in previous post, Thursday much clearer for posting as I'm all alone in the flat. Well, flat faced cat will be here too.
