Re: AFK thread
To update, I do have a keyboard for my tablet (I'm using it to write this post, in fact), and it works remarkably well. So, I will be able to post while I'm away, but obviously, won't have much time to post in.Daveth Coldbrook wrote:Also, to give advance notice, I'm on holiday again from the 15th-25th November, heading down the east coast of the USA. I'll probably have a keyboard for my tablet that I'll be taking by then, so I'll hopefully be doing some posting, but probably reduced amounts.

Enjoy! There's some awesome stuff here on the east coast. Of course, as an east coaster, I'm a little biased. :;

Apologies, catching up on work that was set aside for last week's conference. Much more active this weekend coming.

Re: AFK thread
I've just been made redundant, so I'll need a day or two to unscramble my brains.
Now, this isn't a disaster - I've got work until the end of the year, and I'm pretty confident I can find a better-paying job within a commutable distance within that time (I have good experience in a high-demand industry), and even if I can't, I have decent savings. So, I'm going to be alright. But for right now, I can't focus on the game.

Best wishes Daveth, hope somethings comes up swiftly.
Game will be waiting for you, you can back fill events as desired so don't let this be a source of stress!

Ouch. It may not be a disaster, but that still really stinks. I'm sorry to hear it, man, and good luck getting things worked out.Daveth Coldbrook wrote:I've just been made redundant, so I'll need a day or two to unscramble my brains.

Sorry to hear that, Daveth. I hope you get something good soon. We'll be here if and when you're ready again.

Best of wished. Life sometimes can rear its ugly head, the good thing is that most our players keep getting back up after getting knocked down.

I will be away from November 31 to December 9, I get to relive fun memories in the middle east as a civilian contractor now doing logistics in very fun places. At least Iraq dirt makes my old combat tan boots look new

Re: AFK thread
I´m a civilian that does computer stuff with logistics now, so if I get in danger than shit went really bad lol. It's just 10 days, it might get shorter if everything goes smooth, we just take 2 days to get our stuff setup and two more days at the end to pack up and say bye bye. It is fun to see tanks getting air dropped and rolling the moment they hit ground, hope to see that again.
We got security to watch our six, but you know you always need to have something nearby in case something does happen. Thank you for your good wishes.

I hope it goes well!
I'll be on a jolly to Liverpool tomorrow, and travelling back on Thursday, so my posting may be erratic, but I expect I will have plenty of time to periodically check in and post. At the very least on the 7 hour journey there and back.

Work hard for the money, man!
Good luck man! Dang just when things were getting interesting too! It's gonna be scary not having you around to dictate your awesome plans for our house. Maybe see you return around Christmas break for a few posts?Daveth wrote:

Oh, no, I should definitely be back before then. I need a few days off to calm my head (only got to sleep gone 4:30 in the morning last night), then I'll be back. I may be posting less, as I'll need to be job-hunting as well as everything else, but I'll be back in some form soon enough.

Agh, I just realized I forgot to post here!
Good luck with your search, Daveth! I wish I could provide a reference, but future employers might be less than impressed with knowing you're a capable Westerosi scholar and an able hand at managing a noble House!
