Nope, there's just been some delays on the GM's side. Looks like he's coming back though so hang in there a little longer.

Just a reminder for everyone, with day 7 coming up, we ought to start building up to a climax or half a dozen.

But most of us have been getting on with our D7 stuff, so functionally, D7 is happening already.

true, but the official events haven't happened like the equestrian event or the ball

But there are threads set at the ball well underway. If that doesn't count as it happening, then I don't know what does.

The Bartheld Masked Ball you mean? That was on day 6, it's the grand ball that is on day 7.

actually, they already have started a few threads at the grand ball including an argument with Jon Cobb. Of course, since there may be some official events that might impinge on those.

I am talking about the grand ball. There are several threads set in it already, as well as other D7 interactions. Reader was not around, and it looked like we might not get D7 official events, so some of us started D7 stuff to try and keep the game going.

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
I think you are all getting caught up on the wrong point - Theo's point is that we are getting towards the end of the tourney, so plot lines should be hitting their high point. What day it currently is, or what day is upcoming is not the relevant part, I think. :;
):
Of course, part of the issue with Theo's point is that a lot of the established plotlines have already hit their climax and some have even had a denouement.
So really, those plotlines still active need to be really punched up a bit:
Uh, anything else?
To throw my 2 copper into the what-day debate:
I believe for RP/thread creation it is currently Day 7, but Day 7 official events haven't been posted yet. Some Day 6 events (significantly the Theo/Derrock joust) are still being resolved. Day 8's melee has started early to prevent it from going long. So in essence it is Day 7 but there are bits of 6 and 8 on the periphery.

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
Yeah. Day 6 has some stuff that needs resolving from the GM;
some of the jousts, and the Casque and Wren as well. The activity is over, but the results still need to be tallied.
Day 7 has been going in as full a swing as it can have been without Reader being available. The Ball has already had quite a few interactions in it, and around it. There are a few things that need input from the GM to proceed, and of course the official posts are still needed for Day 7 to continue and then to conclude.
We'll probably need to extend Day 7 a bit to accomodate that.
Baelon did a good job of summarizing the current unresolved 'main' PC-generated plotlines that are public knowledge.
Anything not public will be up to the relevant players to pursue, of course.

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
A little alteration was made to Theo's sheet as I had erroneously believed I'd get Treacherous on everything, so now he has courteous, as that does what I thought it did, if slightly less effective, and will get Treacherous once reader decides that I get to reap the rewards of completing personal goal.
So unless one has reason to suspect that Theo might do something of the sort from the stands (Doubtful this would apply for anyone not coldbrook, his past history is mostly one of getting to round three or four and thus getting one or two ransom's worth of profit by defeating opponents of similar or lower skill, then loose when competition tightens, round 4 and 5 are actually anomalies), you'd need passive awareness 24 to catch on to the mare in heat trick, and 25 to see that Theo deliberately aimed where it hurts. 20 and 21 respectively if you are on the fields (Richard Thorne and Vance primarily). Some people did catch on though.
The shoddy lance trick is basically Theo using inferior quality tourney lances (with their -1 to attack included), and holding them in such a fashion that Derrock can't avoid them (but it's a TN12 check to make them break rather than an attack roll). The deception check of 18 is more of a roleplay thing, as it's not against the rules what he does, presumably I'd say passive awareness 19 (and enough combat ability to recognize what you see) is sufficient to be certain that he did not even try to win, skeptics may well suspect that he did something like that anyway.
Theo/Raff machinations are a bit like, I like the risk of detection, I want to play a high stake game where the two outcomes are:
1. Theo climbs like littlefinger will climb some nine generations of Targaryens later.
2. I need to come up with another character for the next chronicle.
If it wasn't for me going to France for most of July and not likely able to be particularly active here, I'd probably want to see if Daveth and Theomore can't come to a very nasty confrontation, but truth is that I most likely will just have to stick with the schemes already in motion and only engage in "
easy maintenance"
stuff outside of those. Save it for the next chronicle?

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
Works for me. Daveth is at least vaguely aware of how massively out of his depth he is, and this chronicle only really learned enough to realise how much he *didn't* know. My next personal objective is all about properly tooling up to hunt big game, after which I might finally be able to cause enough problems for Ser Theomore to realise someone's deliberately messing with his plans.Theomore Tullison wrote:If it wasn't for me going to France for most of July and not likely able to be particularly active here, I'd probably want to see if Daveth and Theomore can't come to a very nasty confrontation, but truth is that I most likely will just have to stick with the schemes already in motion and only engage in "

Assuming I don't screw up and attract too much attention before then. But Daveth is *very* aware that if Ser Theomore sees him as a serious threat, he's going to turn up with his throat slit in a ditch somewhere pretty damn quick.

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
Quite possibly a correct conclusion, though probably based on the wrong assumptions.
Truth of it is that Raff is the one that would slit Daveth's throat "
because that's what best for ser"
, and then Theo will go some mental rounds justifying how he can accept that Raff did it.

which could also lead to a situation of Raff dying without us knowing why we had to kill him.
Bizarrely, i can also see theomore getting in trouble and raff conning House Coldbrook characters into saving him somehow
Lots of permutations.
