Hi folks.
Regarding the wedding thread (just the rp thread, not the drinking contest or speeches &
gifts thread), I intend to start wrapping it up after this weekend, so if you want to get rp in, please do so. On Monday, the Pg-13 portion of the bedding ceremonies will kick off. Feel free to join in with that, but this is the heads-up on the time frame.

Sorry Corrine, Ben hit his limit of drinking, so I'm afraid his performance shall be... equivocal.

Regardless, a performance will be expected...
You know what would just be the absolute worst? If Isobel insisted on providing a witness. Hmm...if that did happen, I would want to manipulate a trusted friend into the role as witness to provide a Coordination bonus to Deception(Act). Whoa hey, where's my mind at.

Sounds like something Theo might say to justify his habit of not drinking overly much.

I actually think that's a fun idea, though I didn't think Loreia would know that they'd already done it (unless I'm mistaken). I'm assuming concealing that would be the goal, of course.

Now, Nathan does know, I think, since Corrine totally failed to lie convincingly to Ellie while he was eavesdropping at the melée. :;

I quite agree. What might you have in mind? :;
): They were at it like knives for three days before Corrine got injured, but have been abstaining for the week and a bit since then. One can make some predictions then as to the level of enthusiasm they'll have.

To be honest... I have actually given a degree of thought to how to gauge great sex with rolls... but it is so extensive.
To my mind a case could be made for any and all of Agility, Athletics, Deception, Cunning, Endurance, Knowledge, Persuasion and Will.
Then there is Animal Handling for the more eclectic tastes.

Does the one riding or the one being ridden roll?
Actually, the one being ridden would probably be just assisting.

The rider has to roll to determine how well they do it. The mount can offer an assist though.

You will laugh, but I've been seriously considering working out a quality for Nathan similar to Gifted Teacher where sex is so good with him it actually gives a pool of bonus dice.

While that is amusing, it also makes sense. Make a person feel great, they'll be at their best for a while. Seems logical to me.

That would be very flavorful and funny. I think making the bonus die work for certain abilities like persuasion, will, and endurance could be a fun thing to add a little character as well

I had some spare time on my hands and decided to try configuring separate derived abilities and passives. I went with using Combat Defense stats raw physical ability, and Intrigue Defense trading Status for Persuasion(or Deception) as...ugh I dunno. And basically you pick whichever's higher, divide it by 2 for your dice, and roll vs opponent's Stamina, just passive Endurance. I tried to come up with an appropriate "Septon Arlyn wrote:That would be very flavorful and funny. mind"
passive to beat with what you roll.
I don't really see the point of it unless you're trying to impress the other character, or do something disgustingly underhanded. In which case, I'd just use Intrigue, while allowing characters who aren't built for Intrigue to use the physical derived ability I created above, underlined for your convenience. Dunno whether it should be tested against target's Intrigue Defense or something else. This should go in a different/new thread. It's fun to juggle in your head, but I don't see a practical use for it beyond making an intrigue conflict during sex more complicated than it needs to be. For the sake of someone insisting on a witness to a bedding, I would just leave it at a simple intrigue plus assists.

No, see, I think if anything it would detract from later activities... "Nathaniel Mason wrote:You will laugh, but I've been seriously considering working out a quality for Nathan similar to Gifted Teacher where sex is so good with him it actually gives a pool of bonus dice.
never before the big game"
kind of thing. The person just can't concentrate because they can't stop thinking about how good it was, and they are physically drained by the intensity of it.
I'd stat it up like a poison with virulence, toxicity, and frequency being derived from your attributes. Maybe Athletics, Endurance, and 2/Cunning hrs respectively. Note that unlike other "
contact"
poisons, contact must be maintained for attacks beyond the first. A quickie just doesn't have as much bang as a full... well, bang.
For each attack, compare against passive endurance, applies a -1 penalty to acrobatics, athletics, and endurance tests per DoS
Compare as well against passive will, applies a -1 penalty to awareness, cunning, and will tests per DoS
If the penalties to to either endurance or will equal that attribute, the person passes out for 1d6 hours.
Penalties fade at the rate of 1 per 4 hours.

I know that it's not a serious topic, but maybe add empathy to the list of usable skills, as seeing reactions are key.

Good point, Yoren!
Baelon, I do see your point, but I think it can legitimately go either way. Perhaps a Will test to determine whether it helps or hinders?

Nah, I think witness is overdoing, but displaying bedsheets with a suitable amount of blood on them is usually expected. And given the fact that it's rather common for girls to break the maidenhead while riding, a few methods have likely been developed to help produce it if needed.
I believe they used eggshells in Renaissance Italy.
