Yes, but chances are that your opponent (if a pc) will spend a dp himself to cancel your dp

It's always the lowest. But that still is pretty good as it can lower DOS.

But as kevan said he will most likely spend a DP to cancel it. But that doesn't mean you can't try again next round

Anyone who remembers Gwyn/Daveth's reaction (and enforced rolls) at the Green Door Inn explosion will know that both are being honest that tournaments and melees do not suit them.

Adventures in maiden pool

So it appears the Septon will be heading to maiden pool during the off season...

This I think has some very interesting character development for my character.

For one, the Septon's family lives in maiden pool. What do you think the reaction of family whose name you have denounced as part of your vowes would feel about the Septon's actions.

The Septon has 2 elder brothers and a father? Are they still alive? How do they navigate westeros? Do they remember the Septon?

As well as the raiders. Are they actually there? Have they already left? If so where? To essos? To the north or south? By ship?

What sort of checks should I be rolling? Cunning? Knowledge? Stealth? And why?

Any help you can give in formulating my adventures would be greatly appreciated.

I think it would be interesting narrativly, especially considering that maiden pool was originally declaring for the Black's (I think) so it would add some interesting tension between the Septon and his family as well
