It looks like Theo's going to make more out of the Masquerade ball than he ever did from jousting.

Darron, me too. I am doing well enough in my House, but I am often a bit slim on spending cash.

But you got wealth (and a jousting husband), it's not like you can't acquire some if you need it.

What is this spending cash you speak of? Is it a thing you use to buy the stuff and the things? (The Septon's Maester kit is an expensive thing to maintain, between that and all the charity work that he does and that costume I think that the Septon is down to silver stags. Oh to have nathans problems of having too much gold to know what to do with!)

Could always go on the game.

The gambling rewards at the Masquerade Ball really are crazy high. Though Reader will probably find a way to force me to spend it. Like letting me kill a criminal whose son needs very expensive medicine...

True, but although gold is good, information can sometimes be worth more then gold dragons (or be worth less then a copper, but to each their own )
BTW, there is a pirate emoji Ben will have to make use of that sometime

Information is great but with the war coming up I would totally be down for some full plate

Re: Game Discussion
If you have any dice in AH/Ride at all, you could probably go a couple rounds in the tourneys; even if you don't get far you could makes some money on ransoms. Between the three you might make enough for plate.Darron Greyjoy wrote:Information is great but with the war coming up I would totally be down for some full plate
If that's too out of character, I might be willing to hire some mercenaries, if our thread works out. If it works out really well, I probably wouldn't mind paying partially up front with a suit of plate.

Re: Game Discussion
Uh literally anyone would be better at using a horse than Darron, he really isn't a big fan of them and they of him. If I could use a boat to joust that would be a different story.
That might be interesting well see. I actually realised the money I made at the gambling before the war is enough for me to pick up a superior weapon and full plate so all good now. Depending on how the melees go and other things before the war I might retcon getting it earlier, ill see what reader thinks.

Used the trope already.
Will need to dig in to my big bag o' cliches for other horrible stuff/review rewards once I wrap Nathaniel's thread.
I'll dig in to my trope back for others.
There's a huge outstanding bounty "side quest" to unlock if anyone got the right rumour from Jorah's Kingsguard thread or knows the history of the period well.
Prayer thread up and open to all, just need to be on KL track to win the Green/Black points (IC: need to be present and "seen").

There's always the option for blackmail by an NPC that recognized a PC at the masquerade. It would work better against some PCs than others, of course.

Re: Game Discussion
This addresses a different reward/penalises a bunch of other people.
Your piety is reflected by, welll, pious.
However, I should note that (as hinted at in the flavour text) the TN for all of this is lower due to the whole cast's efforts in Battle Valley. Original TN was 12 and tensions between faith was much higher, making critical failure much more likely for those of the New Gods but particularly other Faiths. Had punchier flavour text, but reviewed it all to account for Story 2.
There's a reason I asked about faith in character creation, trying to make it part of the story and conflict.

Baelon - answered your question about participating in Prayers plus other Phase 1 events in the affirmative and deleted your question + Corrine's helpful answer, to try to keep things tidier.

No worries, you're super helpful with other questions.
Sorry about finally busting through your incredible CD. You've held the Velaryons up for some time at least and Ser Jorah, you and then Ser Kevan are all up now.
I'm hopefully watching some NFL and posting tonight, so we'll hopefully get some more of that combat in as you/Jorah can post for Ser Kevan and even Ser Luthor if desired, much of the chaff is cleared and many other foes are breaking/severely injured.
