I think that my slots are all full for the two days we seem to be working on, no additional forward movement until we transition days

Yeah, we've spent a lot of time on days 6 &
7. I'm sure that when Reader's personal stuff eases up a bit we'll be moving on to Day 8... and the lengthiest bit of Day 8 (the melee) is already well under way.

I'm still in France, with weekdays being pretty much impossible to get in any IC of noteworthyness...and as for weekends, well, I do happen to be a 10min walk away from Le Promenade des Anglais...

Theo, if I were in your shoes I wouldn't be posting much either. :;
):
My grumbling was actually because I saw a few specific people come and go that I'm waiting on... and I'm somewhat bored and procrastinating on my work...

I feel that everytime Reader appears and then goes. I know we must be patient and understanding, but I get anxious.

Yeah, and that goes for others as well... Reader (and some like Theo) we know whats up - others we just have to assume have a reason that they haven't posted.Lady Corrine Marsten wrote:I feel that everytime Reader appears and then goes. I'm not upset over it, I just got my hopes up is all.
I don't know about anybody else, but I feel like we are at the peak of a steep hill, looking down... at any moment we're going to go rushing down, but it the meantime it's all... well, Frankie can say it better'n me:

Queen of Love and Beauty presumably has little meaning until someone wins the joust.

Indeed!
Green &
Blacks got moved.
Today hopefully marks a return to form - things have calmed down here.
Apologies to all, and thanks to everyone for sticking with it. Great bunch of players, pitching in to resolve the melee and waiting patiently.

Thanks guys. Glad to be back.
All, remember the equestrian competition - you can take part even if you were busy with another activity, just need to take an extra test to avoid a small penalty. Link pasted above!

I am loving this renewed flurry of activity, by the way. It's making me a happy critter. :3

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
Indeed! I'm really looking forward to contributing to the River Ghost/Nightmare, Green &
Black, and (probably) the Champion's Feast... I just need to find out what penalties I'll have from the melee first.
A note on fatigue: it takes four hours of rest to remove each fatigue, so there is no time to remove any between the melee and the champion's feast. Resting after the feast (ME and LE) can remove one.
Injuries and wounds of course will not be affected, so those penalties should be applied to all three events.

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
Good points. In the name of justice (and letting everyone participate now) this event will ignore fatigue/injury penalties, except those inflicted by the event itself (Greens &
blacks) and The River Ghost.
River ghost - same applies.
Hand wave/milk of the poppy justification.

No worries - I'll add a note to the appropriate events (and adjust rolls) but I'm about to go off to play card games. Enjoy your lunch!

Is "
the queen of love and beauty"
going to be another real event after the joust or merely a description of the consequences of Ser Derrocks choice of his queen?

Ser Derrock is a model of chivalry and will let you pick with a persuade (charm/convince) roll at tn 9 (his social defence). Full event tomorrow if you pass.

Aww Kevan! I hope you pass! That would make Lady Sofia's day/week/possibly life! It would be a nice 'can't rain all the time' moment.
Assuming you'd pick her. :;

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
At one end the greens and black event is listed as "
mandatory"
, same as river ghost. Which I find questionable, especially since the endurance(resilience) roll suggests that every character around gets caught up in a big fight. And some players might not even notice the mandatory part.
At least with greens&
blacks, I think characters should have an option to avoid the fight altogether (but then also miss out on the peace/war increasing options), there's a few of them that makes good sense for, like the ladies. As far as the river ghost goes, the only consequence of that would be penalties on the next event, so slinkering off when things gets heated wouldn't be affected by that.
