Not like I would be beaten by yet another silver haired guy in there too:)

We established he wasn't knighted before the game started.. This is from my personal goal.

He's still very young - remember that Ser Jaime Lannister is unusual for being knighted at 15.

I thought that the typical age was 16 (at least for lord's sons) and that Dunstan was older than that.... I mean, even if it's atypical it's not impossible, so I'm not saying it can't happen or anything like that. Baelon didn't get to know Dunstan until after Dunstan became Lord, so he would have just assumed that Big D was already knighted and the 'Ser' appellation was simply hidden by the 'Lord'.

Honestly, it's better for everybody this way - he's less likely to seek out revenge from that far away. Alive but gelded was probably the most dangerous option for everyone involved.

Gelding as an adult does not affect the pitch of the voice - that's why castrati were cut pre-puberty.... Sad

Heh, maybe. I'm not sure he'd be smart enough to pull it off, though... and form a sellsword company? I doubt he'd get anyone to follow him. Seriously, if he hadn't been born into a position of leadership I doubt he'd have so much as made Sergeant.

pretty much my thought process and if he screws up in the Watch, he won't have any status to protect him

I'm actually wondering if me and Yoren will meet up with him during our snowy safari hunt. He could still become a builder 'cause he's strong(I think?), but I believe he'll make ranger, which would be perfect. We don't really know much about the man except that he's famous for his temper. When he's not getting good and angry for any reason, what's he think about? Would he grow during his time at the Wall, all of two weeks before meeting us(y'know, if he does...)?
