It's ok if it's with your betrothed. That's practically married anyway, by the law of the time. Totally not the same as doing it with a woman that you know recently did it with someone else, thus rendering the progeny of their child ambiguous.
Interesting to see Ser Kevan's thoughts IC on the matter - does he suspect? How will he treat the child?
He's been a virtuous knight so far, will this fire break him or make him stronger?
Or will he simply be oblivious as his "
son"
rises to adulthood, another pawn in Ser ********'s games...

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
Personally, out of spite, I would keep the information on who his father is by blood from ever being known by the boy. The man's reputation alone is enough to justify any ill disposition the boy might witness, and cover the real reason - depending on how smart the kid is. I guess what you choose to do depends on your personal feelings towards Theomore, and how you allow the drama to manifest - with or without conflict, the drama still remains.

Well, I was terribly busy in RL so never got around to do it, but the plan was to have Raff deliver some moon tea just in case (Sofia would likely drink it, way I understand). I think it's mentioned IC somewhere.
Then again, who said that the Blackwoods doesn't have blond kids every now and then?

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
Theo, I hope you are ok with this, we briefly discussed it in a couple of pms some time ago. Just wanted to point out that it is not clear that our Tullison knight is the father. I will include it IC later on, but Kevan's mother was blond as well, so it could be from there (or Kevan talks himself in believing that, who knows...)
Patience, good narrator This post is just the starting point. I plan to include Kevan's coping process in various story 2 posts...Interesting to see Ser Kevan's thoughts IC on the matter - does he suspect? How will he treat the child?

I would very much like to collaborate on this matter. Corrine will want Robbin &
Bethany to be friends, being so close in age, but if she picks up on doubts about Robbin's progeny, she'll be too nosey not to prod Kevan/Sofia about it.

I have no problems with Sofia having a blond child and Kevan being uncertain about who the father might be.
But it's unlikely that Theomore wouldn't take steps to prevent him being the actual father.

Understood. It might never come up, but I like to check such things in advance. I assure you, Corrine is not without tact. Even if she picks up on awkwardness, she isn't likely to make a big fuss.

That is also understood. Since you were IRL busy at the pertinent time, I'm sure Reader would let you carry out your original intention, and leave it up to Sofia what she did with it.

There's also the alternative that he made sure to spill his seed someplace else than inside of her. Which we know from the books that does happen in the setting, and he's not exactly inexperienced in this field.
That's not necessarily a guarantee though.

Indeed. Good old ambiguity.
It is likely we'll never know for sure until at least after the child has grown up a fair bit. Possibly not even then. And, in some ways, it doesn't matter that much unless it's contested.

Before I got get some food -looking forward to (IC) recriminations if there are any units damaged from fighting under another house's banners, whether that be against the clans or during house events.
MAny of you have IC reasons to be suspicious of one another, and it sets story 2 up nicely.

And here comes 1 more Dulver!
I played BitW also, and also as Ser Walton Dulver :;
): nice to be back in game and restart education about it once more. Hopefully tomorrow/day after tomorrow I will deal with background of Ser Walton Dulver and his companion Garred Mountfort.
One more update:
It's Dulvers time now...

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
Kevan doesn't seem to have a problem with the kid being his while his character remains troubled about who's the "
real"
father. So feel free to lay down the line and say your character used the bedsheets as a prophylactic.
Hmm?? Oh, new player, hey! Welcome and all that... You and your fellow Dulver player should first work out whether or not to hire Baelon to be your champion vs Benjen(and then as your subcommander?) in your house event thread, soon pretty please. Coldbrook house event thread is ready to go, but whether you take Baelon or not will affect our battle.

Obviously a reference to House Dulver's heraldry.
Dulver time = hammer time?
Nobody can tell me that's a pickaxe.

Are these series connected in any sort of ways, or are they simply a series of campaigns in succession? Will we know of the next after this?Benedict Marsten wrote:Hello again! In case you haven't seen the thread where Baelon points all the former BiTW players, I was Rykk.

BITW was a PbP run by someone else, but many of us took part in that too:
BITW - http://bitw.boards.net/
Southron ambitions - dead board, but some bits are reachable via wayback machine and other archiving tools I think.
This game was actually a result of me resurrecting a play by post forum I'd created but never started, as I wanted to fill the gap post BITW's sudden end.
We wanted to get things going again quickly to keep players and momentum.
Delighted to finish 1 story, plus personal stories, house events and the wars against the clans, something we didn't manage in the two games noted above!
My work schedule often interrupts things, but I've got patient players who help resolve big events. Many thanks to the players for crafting such an enjoyable story so far.
