Re: General Non-game Chat Thread
Corrine, I too am grieving. There was a death in my extended family this weekend. Not someone I was particularly close to, but someone I saw frequently in my childhood.
No two griefs are the same, but you are not alone.
The sun will rise tomorrow, and in time, slowly but surely, it will get better.

Hooray for passing your CLEP! It is a very useful option for converting "
non-traditional"
learning into college credits. Though many schools limit the number of credits you can get that way.

I've been watching the skies for falling rocks.Lady Corrine Marsten wrote:Is anyone else mildly unsettled that Reader's picture is now the Stranger?
Heh. The narrator of BITW used that image. When we gained sub-narrators to spread the load, Reader used the Warrior, I used the Crone, and the third sub-narrator used the Father.

Happy memories! Will see which picture I settle on, quite like the Stranger and it's a nod to previous PbP games.
I'll second Ayleth's Thanksgiving wishes to everyone in the US.

Re: General Non-game Chat Thread
If people are still after good news, my neighbour, a lovely 79-year old woman, was in hospital when I left on holiday, and her husband was thinking she might not come out. I check in on her first thing on my return, hoping she was still alive, and she's not only still alive, she's back home!
I mean, she's not *well*, and they've discovered yet another thing wrong with her that they can't cure, but she's apparently been ill since her mid-thirties, so that's nothing new.
It may not mean much in the grand scheme of things, but in this year, I'm taking my good news where I can find it, and that news made me happy.

A good perspective. Good news is good news. The bad stuff doesn't make the good stuff any less good, it just distracts us from it.
