Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
Public service announcement:
If you're intriguing an NPC lord, unless there's an solid reason for it to be closed it's effectively (open-ish), no matter what you write in the thread title, so their minions can bust in, as many of them are trusted advisers.
All - I'm trying to strike a balance between letting you lot meet NPCs, but also letting PCs dive their house, as the PCs are lords, nobles and trusted advisers. The more you guys do PC to PC, the better.

I've been wondering just how open the singing contest is, as in how flexible it is towards participation and if entry is required beforehand. And what the consequences are for failing at any of the checks. 'Cause I have this idea in my head of Loreia just taking a turn, sort of spur-of-the-moment.

That seems like a fun idea. Contestants didn't need to pre-register.
Generally contests note consequences of failure, but this is not a CRPG, so if someone does something outrageous (brilliant/inept rolls or via roleplay) that will make a good story, I may well run with it. :;
):
The most obvious consequences of failure are included in posts by your fellow PCs - I enjoyed Dunstan choking on an apple.

Hehehe
Unless you pick a song that's deeply insulting to someone powerful, the 'consequence' is just being a laughingstock until the next singer comes on up. Terrible for a proper lady like Gwyn or Corrine, probably not a big deal for you.

Its not been great. But then, we're in Feast of Crows territory.
And they killed --- !

If there's going to be GoT discussion, perhaps make a separate thread so that people who want to avoid spoilers can do so.

Seriously, that thread so far was 'small talk' while I waited on some other information... now comes the main course.

Would you rather she'd not been remorseful? Would you have preferred "
Get thee hence, insignificant one!"
?

Nobody believes me when I say it's totally unintentional.

Dyana, I'm surprised you didn't choose to overhear Ben's revelation that came out just as you went into the inn.

Erm, no she didn't. With Baelon, it's more like "
Thanks, but no thanks."
and with Athelstan, it was very much "
It's not me, it's you"
.
