I've got a question for y'all. Occasionally when I read intrigues, I'll see someone adding what seems like a really high number to their Persuasion roll, like a +5 or somesuch. Now, I know Disposition modifies these rolls, but I'm pretty sure the party in question isn't Affectionate here. Smile

What else can modify these rolls? Am I missing some bonuses I can ruthlessly take advantage of? Smile

The modifiers are all lumped together.. So if I was friendly, had Charismatic, and had blood of Valaryia you would see me add +7 to my roll.

There's a few qualities that add static bonuses (Charismatic, Courteous, Treacherous and maybe more?) - these stack with disposition modifiers.

However, if something looks iffy, check with me in a PM and I'll make sure the numbers are right.

Edit: yeah, what Nathaniel said! He also added a quality I'd forgotten.

Theo, that could well be. So far I have only barely dipped my toe into the intrigue system. That's a subtlety far beyond my ken at the moment. Smile

Remember you can take frustration to reduce the damage and offer a yield. If the push for too much, you can quit! Stops your PC doing anything too outrageous.

As a intrigue monster victim Dyanna I must say quitting is a must sometimes. If you don't people could very well be able to just change your opinions or make you do something every 5 minutes, with one sentence and a roll:)

And don't kill Marei Gwyn, there are room for 2 people in Dunstan's life :;
