Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
Hahaha
Actually, my thought was more along the lines that she'd go have a chat with Marei. An honest discussion, which...if she does her job right...would result in Marei making the wise decision not to keep pestering Dunstan. This decision wouldn't be made because of threats though...it would be because it really is what's best for both of them. It would make so much sense, the way Gwyn would explain it you see.

No no! That's...uh...my crazy cousin third removed. How did you get out of the basement?!
Aheh. We would never do such a thing!

Actually, for proper stirring I'm going to suggest people choose ATTACK instead of quit.

'Taunt' is such an underused intrigue tactic....

Right. I really like the "
Switch to Combat"
action. Political backstabbing isn't the quickest way to stab in an intrigue.

You don't even have to strike to kill! Punch/slap them (I was going to showcase this via NPCs, but right opportunity hasn't come up).

But to such wonderful effectiveness when properly done.

I once opened an Intrigue by clocking an NPC. Does that count? :;

Definitely count.
Theomore's use of taunt had tragic consequences, but has set off an exciting plot (and killed the "
Ceremony in the Godswood"
official event).

Don't play innocent with me mister!
She's a Blackwood, so they were going to exchange promises and gifts in the godswood ahead of their marriage. Luckily for her (and unluckily for one innocent barmaid ), the wedding is very much off now.
And now Nathaniel has sabotaged Day 5's Iron Strike.
But seriously, I wouldn't have it any other way - I love CRPGs, but the reactivity is much deeper in a proper RPG.

Re: General OOC Chatter Thread
I assumed it was some sort of backlash on House Tully from the Iron Bank.

We shall see!
I expect they probably will...but he'll pay for it in the end. The crown would rather deal with Tully themselves than let everyone see that the Iron Bank can pull these kinds of shenanigans.

Also, why default on a loan when there's a civil war brewing and you might need cash fast? Bad enough to lose access to funding because a vassal was dim, even worse to have the bankers lending to your foes.

I guess, I'll ruffle lord Dunstan feathers for a tilt to make him stay in the deal he already made some name calling might be in order, like dishonoring a deal.

Do we get the benefit from personal goal upon fulfilling requirements or after the scenario?
