Careful now, man cub. There's no going back from that shit. Corrine may joke about not bringing home anything you're not willing to share, but she feels really strongly about infidelity. She already has a lot of residual guilt about how she conducted herself at the tourney, and that was pretty mild in terms of inconstancy. That is a button that you only press if you're ok with wrecking that marriage. :8-):
Please, no woman can get between Ben and I! I don't care if you're our wives, you'll just have to wait your turn!
Ok, that took me a moment to get, but fucking hell, that was funny.

In Haig's hunt, Ben and Baelon diverge from their people and meet up alone, at the foot of a mountain...I see it.
I was gonna say words to this effect if Ben protested further at our fateful encounter in the sept at Riverrun."
If you're going to get all puffed up about a man flirting with me or looking at me, you'll have to fight a bloody long line of them!"
Umm...He's still on my list. He benefits most from the murder, and has yet to prove his innocence.
Must find a role Jack played with a western European/Australian accent to help me imagine it.Aaaand now he's played by Jack Nicholson in my head.

What are you guys on about? Ser Theomore is simply a noble knight who has accomplished some magnificent feats with the help of the gods. He is clearly a shining example of chivalry.
Right raff?
I mean I saw it on the t.v. so it must be true

My wee heart is breaking for poor Daveth right now. I wish Dyana would come back and save him. I so wanted them to be happy.

There's more of that sort of longing here, masterfully worked in to a rumours post:

I , on the other hand, am cheering him on. Someone's got to take over bringing joy to the women of Westeros now that Baelon has settled down.

Re: General Non-game Chat Thread
Hello Everyone! I am looking forward to contributing to this game, and I am glad to meet you all. now I don't know quite how to phrase this so I'll be plain, how would you guys like me to introduce myself on this thread, what information should I share etc. While this isn't my first SIFRP game this is my first play by post game ever so I don't quite know what to expect or what is expected in return! Either way I look forward to having much fun with you all!

Note that these are pre-Story 1 descriptions though. Many of us have changed rather radically since then.

Those with the time and energy are very welcome to do so.
Perhaps a short section on in-game activities? "
Recent activities"
or similar.
As ever, bonus points to any knightly PCs who do theirs in the style of the White Book.

Re: General Non-game Chat Thread
Welcome!
Yep, probably gonna revisit the cast page to showcase my exploits. Here are some threads you should read the original posts of, and some you should pay attention to. On play-by-post, and what to do/expect, I would listen to some tips from Baelon and Theomore, I'm a little scatterbrained right now.
Threads to check:
-Logistics and Timeslots
-Tips and How-To's
-Experience, destiny, &
character growth
-Cast of player characters
-House Rules
-Home Houses
-Tone and Danger
Threads you may see activity in that would be worth checking out:
Mechanical Discussion
AFK
Game Discussion
Meeting Grounds
Aweseme Moments
In the current story, King's Justice, you are encouraged to intrigue rather than roleplay exchanges and agreements between players. Reader throws up planned events per in-game day, but feel free to cause events of your own! Players having a hand in how events unfold or even causing new/different events altogether is encouraged, if you want. One of our players even managed to throw a wrench in one of Readers' plans in Story 1(Tourney at Riverrun).
We're not always available to post every day, but expect posts daily, and if there's going to be a hiccup in your ability to post, the AFK thread would be the place to inform people.
Game Discussion is for discussion of how people have been playing the game, generally problems/concerns for more lengthy discussion. OOC is for whatever you feel like sharing. Mechanical discussion thread has seen discussions which resulted in new house rules!
If someone puts up some exceptional roleplay or success in going off the beaten path, you may find/post it in the Awesome Moments thread.
Home houses for exposition on each house as it began in the campaign. Tone and Danger thread explains what to expect and how to handle some mature subject matter.

Re: General Non-game Chat Thread
Welcome indeed!
It can seem like a lot all at once, especially with all the old posts in Story 1 and the first off season.
One suggestion might be to come up with reason that your character was absent from House Marsten for the past year or so, then you can be justifiably unaware, and not feel you have to go through it to catch up. Also of course, feel free to ask for the history on any particular person or situation - in particular the Marsten OOC would be a good place for that.
Above all, remember that even if there are IC conflicts, OOC most people will be quite willing to help out in any way - we're all here to have fun, and want you to have fun too.
