Daylight is overrated, all you ever get is like a big burning ball in the sky, if anything it's blinding.

Yeah, and we only just managed to steer this thread away from it.
Reader has set up a separate thread to discuss the current kerfuffle. Let's try to keep this thread a happy place at this stressful time.

morning seems pretty cheerful... as morning people are to do... A classic struggle, like evenings and mornings, and afternoons and mornings, and Night and mornings, and morning and mornings, those damn mornings, they ruined mornings for the rest of us!

I think even those present will get confused, I had my hopes so high to continue fallout, and then this happens, how can Fallout hope to compete by games with actual response to your decision???

Re: General Non-game Chat Thread
Normally I'd be in agreement, but when you're called upon to act as the king's subordinate authority...well I would adjust my sleeping patter accordingly. The people need to see that the authority is alert and taking their duty seriously. All the lords, heirs and ladies who are fit to be called such rise early to begin management of their households, receive reports from their small council and deal with any issues, etc. When you're in authority, people expect you to be awake as early as is reasonable, make the trains run on time so to speak. I know I expect it.
The new Fallout is...different from what I've come to expect. It's great, but the absence of some things that would otherwise make it more of a Fallout game are strikingly absent. Thing is, I'm enjoying myself, so I'm not really able to step back and decide whether to complain or not.
One thing I will note is the way they've retooled their perks and perk system. I'm even not sure what I get when I level up, just a perk? I also would really like a perk for shotguns, or just "
And Stay Back"
. That perk came in handy many times when I played New Vegas. Oh well. Play, finish, mod, play again.

The question then begins, who monitors the night when all these good lordlings are sleeping to awake in the morning!

Dunstan's early morning Lorldy behaviour is:
Wake up
Sit down
Smile
Pretend to know what you're doing and hope another day goes as usual
Hit wooden dummies with a mace in the courtyard all day

I see what you're saying, Loreia, but Corrine requires Samurel to be her eyes and ears in the night. We're working together that way.

There's perks to increase damage with shotguns. It depends on how the weapon is built. If it has a stock, it's a rifle and the rifle perk affects their damage. If it's build with a grip and no stock, it's a pistol and you use the pistol perk.
Really enjoying the game myself.

I am so unbelievably envious of you guys getting to play Fallout 4. The next 2 weeks are going to drag by. That having been said, I still have 6 weeks of semester to get through, so 2 weeks of normal productivity will be useful.
