I *almost* chose to take Garret as my cohort for my next development, but (a) us hanging out together all the time kind of invalidates the 'heir and a spare' idea and (b) I would lose it if a new player decided they wanted to take him as a PC.

Pity, as I think he'd be a fun character to gain more prominence, and a very different character to Daveth.

As it is easy to see from my offseason post, Benjen was introduced to maybe become a cohort at one point (If I find a way to design fitting personal objectives for it and fulfill them afterwards)

Ahhh ok. Because there's already a Benjen and a Benjicot (the latter of which is Ben's page), I was getting confused.

It kinda feels like Raff is more fun to write than Theomore at times, heh.

Pity that the trial was postponed until the end of the tourney, the whole idea was to have Benjen show up injured due to the fire. Incidentally, that was the outcome anyway, but pffft, I like to take credit for things.

plus (c) we've seen signs from NPC Garret that indicates that he may not fit the description "
loyal companion"
, and (d) he's the prime candidate to use should reader decide that there's not enough internal Coldbrook drama.
