Re: General Non-game Chat Thread
The debate of rumours above is answered as some early rumours hit the inns.
Remember you can use your daily rumour roll (and a timeslot) to interrogate these a little with a knowledge (streetwise) roll.
Further suggestions on rumours always welcome, particularly to those willing to write them up.

Theomore the player hopes that he hasn't.
Theomore the character...I don't think he cares much actually.

Corrine the character hopes he has. Corrine the player loves romantic drama too much.

Baelon, I'm no expert, but, I must conclude of Kerry Bracken, in the words of my people;

She wants tae pump you."

Oh, it's all very amusing while somebody else is on the Narrator's "
Drawback &
Vice tour 2015"
, but I've got a variety of these coming up. Let's see if you're next.

To echo Arin Hanson: "
If yeh had a chance to change yur mate, would'jyeh?"
Oh, it's an obvious ploy on Haig's part to gain/buy Baelon's favor, and she knows the score. Not that she's not interested, mind. Who wouldn't be? A handsome tourney winner of royal blood, come into his own nobility, here at the aid of her house, clearly in the right versus those tree-worshipers? After all, what's she counting on? That he's his father's son in more ways than one...
I can insert myself into this intrigue to assist Baelon, sorry to say I might be lacking in subtlety.

Pfft, assist Kerry, lest you appear on the Narrator attack list just before/after Corrine.

Re: General Non-game Chat Thread
I've got a wretched habit of writing Coldbrook where I mean Blackwood. Should normally be clear from context, a couple of instances pointed out today. Keep it coming!
Did you know: your narrator was (briefly) a journalist, but journalists have editors.

Well, I'm going to put myself there in initiative anyway. Loreia takes issue with this since she knows Gwyn. If Baelon's player says leave(his character could dismiss me), I exit intrigue. Fair? I am sending the squire off to start hunting early, though, no ganging up on the NC. He's only a lad anyway.

Oh totally fair, you have to go with what you'd do IC.
I'd never wreak fiery vengeance on PCs for foiling my IC plots, hope everyone knows I was joking.
Otherwise Nathaniel would be a dead man by now after he forced rewrites of big chunks of story 1.

Yay!
Always a good thing that you can't predict your players. I hear it keeps a GM wearing his thinking cap.

But my thinking cap is for equity analysis!
This is supposed to be how I relax.

Normally when an animal is struck and ready to defend itself, it would try to reassess its priority to addressing the challenger. In this instance, wouldn't the shadowcat become incensed by your attack and at its prey becoming aware enough to try and run, and turn on you instead? :? Not that this should change the result of your roll, just the roleplay. Bravo to Corrine for the setup, though. Classic "Leucian Longbow wrote:He watched the cat adjust to his landing and continue towards the lady, before taking careful aim with his second arrow and launching it airborne. It strikes true and deadly, but still the shadowcat takes the remaining steps towards the Lady but finally collapses on top of her, nearly covering her entirely.
looming behind you"
scene.

I would definitely see the point assuming I'm an obvious threat. In this case, since I was hiding in the woods and the cat was wounded unexpectedly right before almost landing on Corrine, I played it as if he's not exactly certain what occurred and who injured him so he continued to his primary target assuming it was them. If I had ran and stabbed him with a knife, I would 100% agree. Not a huge deal either way. Although expect Lady Corrine to get a lecture story similar to what was forced on Nathan around what happens when you think you're the biggest baddest creature in the wild...

Gonna go play through episodes 4 and 5 of Game of Thrones to get back into it. Twelve days and episode 6 comes out, people! Arg, that's seven days later than Fallout 4! I am so HYPED.

You've just reminded me that I have only played episode 1 so far. I should get back onto that. Though, I also have to finish Season 2 of The Walking Dead game, and I can only take so much sore feels at a time.

I know it well.
1/4 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1.5 lbs cubed beef
3 strips bacon
1 yam diced
1 med onion finely chopped
1 clove garlic
1 c beef broth
1/8 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp ground clove
2 bay leaves
Coat meat with flour.
Saute bacon in large pan.
Remove bacon and chop.
Saute garlic in bacon fat.
Brown meat in bacon fat.
Add everything to a baking dish (preferably stone).
Cover and bake at 300 degrees for two hours.
This recipe is very old (at least 400 years that I am aware of) and is the best comfort food I have ever had.
